So flat slip-on slide sandals have kind of become *THE* It-shoe last year and the trend doesn’t seem to slow down in 2019. Two of the most coveted contenders when it comes to designer slide sandals are Hermès’ Oran slides ($650) and Saint Laurent’s Nu Pieds sandals ($595). We’ve featured tons of dupes for each one of these shoes in the past already, but today I happened to stumble upon a pair of sandal slides that look like 50% Hermès and 50% Saint Laurent. It’s the Coraline sandals by Mercedes Castillo, a shoe designer who has popped up on my fashion radar only very recently, and her Hermès-Saint-Laurent hybrid slides will cost you less than half of either one of the luxury designer versions. Mercedes Castillo’s Coraline has the square design elements of the Oran sandals, but also features the very distinctive woven knot detail of the Nu Pieds slides. Both designer pairs would set you back a hefty $1.245, but if you opt for Mercedes Castillo you’ll get the best of both for 1/5 of the price.
