If you think of Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, the first one to spring to mind is probably the iconic Vara pump – a one-inch heeled patent ballet-style bow-adorned shoe. This shoe was first introduced in 1978 by Fiamma Ferragamo, the daughter of Salvatore, and has gained a lot of recognition among celebrities like Princess Diana for example. Varina is a spin-off of Vara, a more casual and modern designed ballerina flat with a lovely grosgrain bow on the vamp, which has been around since 2007. I’m usually not a fan of ballet flats, but these are so gorgeous and the quality looks absolutely superb, don’t you agree? I’d so love to own these ($575 isn’t that expensive for a pair of made in Italy designer shoes nowadays). If only I had that kind of shopping budget.
