I loved, loved, loved Yves Saint Laurent‘s Spring 2009 collection. Every single piece was bold and fabulous and I adored the caged heels that were presented on the runway.

Celebrities Love Yves Saint Laurent
Unfortunately, YSL’s caged heels have mostly been ignored by the celebrity world, but the trend has picked up slowly since last month. Actress Tilda Swinton was the first to be fearless enough to wear them on the red carpet. Ciara and Becki Newton followed shortly after.
Nasty Gal Prisoner Cage Booties
Update (09/16/2018): Can’t believe that I was able to find another YSL dupe after so many years, but these caged booties by Nasty Gal are a fabulous and budget-friendly steal deal option if you want the Yves Saint Laurent designer look for less. These booties are on sale for $45 and available in either black, red or pink faux patent leather.

Luichiny Star Bound Sandals
This YSL inspired high heel by Luichiny is not quite as extravagant as the original. You can see the shoe has been mainstreamed (bootie length, heel, open-toe), but it’s still a great look for less alternative to YSL for a fraction of the price. Other available color options are silver and bronze.
