Real vs. Steal – Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo Woven Linen Cap-toe Platform Pumps

by Irina on January 6, 2013

I am vehemently refusing to call Yves Saint Laurent by its new brand name: Saint Laurent. Sorry, Hedi Slimane, but changing the logo to some random, faceless font and removing the iconic Yves in YSL, that’s just a tremendously stupid idea (imho) and I do not condone you stripping off some of the most precious heritage from one of the most iconic fashion brands in the world. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, how pretty are these woven YSL Tribtoo pumps?

If you couldn’t care less about labels or logos and are just looking for a pretty shoe in the style of the YSL pumps shown above, then take a look at these Steve Madden heels. They’re not quite as refined looking as the real deal, but they do have that same preppy, casual college look, don’t they? Ooh, these also happen to be on clearance for less than $50 and they come in black suede/black patent as well.
