Every once in a while there comes a shoe that will stand out from the masses, a shoe that first becomes a trend and later will be considered iconic (think Audrey Hepburn’s Givenchy LBD from Breakfast at Tiffany’s). The YSL Tribtoo / Trib Two Pump has great potential to become a shoe legend. The highly coveted 5″ inch stiletto pumps are virtually sold out EVERYWHERE and their hefty price tag prevents them from being a realistic shoe dream for most of us not-rich-by-default fashionistas.

The YSL Tribtoo Pumps have been worn by like at least 2 dozen celebrities, from A-Listers to D-Listers. Almost anyone who’s rich and famous owns a pair. Heidi Klum, Victoria Beckham, Lucy Liu, Christina Aguilera, etc. The YSL Tribtoo Pump was probably the most worn shoe on the red carpet last year and there’s no end in sight for 2009.

Kelsi Dagger “Linzy” Platform Pumps

UPDATE (10/15/2010): Well, well. Look at this. Kelsi Dagger is the lower-priced line of Pour La Victoire and doesn’t their “Linzy” pump look JUST like the PLV Irina? Only it costs half the price. I’ve been a great fan of the “Irina” pumps (obviously!), but the Kelsi Dagger Linzy is just as nice. And there are so many colors to choose from. Which one is your favorite? Personally, I want them ALL!

UPDATE (07/12/2010): OK, so I might be slightly biased to call these Pour La Victoire platform pumps the best YSL Tribtoo knockoffs because of the name, but even though these here are more tamed I’m still over-the-moon in love with these lustworthy heels.

When I checked out the new arrivals on Wet Seal today I jumped out of my seat. They’ve added a pair of platform pumps that are so close to the YSL Tribtoos and cost only $24.50?! This must be DEAL OF THE MONTH or so. The pumps are currently available in black and pink and if I were you I’d snag both colors NOW because these heels will go fast. Feast your eyes on these YSL knockoff darlings: bebe‘s Liza Leather Platform Pumps. This is probably the closest you’ll ever come to the real deal with a $149 budget. Huge knockoff crush potential! They are currently available in either black leather or patent tortoise shell, but on the website they are also pictured in off white, so I guess you’ll be able to order these in that color soon, too.
