Real vs. Steal – Valentino Rockstud Suede Platform Booties

by Juliana on November 10, 2012

Just in time for the chillier season, these very stylish boots appear from Valentino‘s fabulous fall/winter collection. Black ankle boots are my cold weather shoe must-have as they go with almost my entire wardrobe and function easily from day work wear to evening functions. The stud detail along the top gives these a little bit more of a glamorous edge and looks quite alluring peeking out from under long black trousers. But as much I’m sure you’ll wear these, you don’t need to spend a fortune. We’ve found two excellent look-for-less options that won’t break the bank and you can choose the best version for your shape and signature style.

Ravel “Kelsea” Studded Suede Ankle Boots

For those of you with a more boyish shape, this style by Ravel is ideal for you. It still has the same designer inspired look, but the higher heel and higher cut boot will add height and curves to your legs. Loving the higher heel, but not necessarily the extra curves? Wear them with black leggings or skinny jeans for a slimmer looking silhouette. Either way, don’t forget to pile on gold accessories. An arm full of bangles and some chandelier earrings should definitely do the trick. Not only are they a steal, but you can also get them in navy suede!
