Espadrilles! These summer shoes have risen to fame in the last couple of seasons with Chanel and Valentino leading the pack of the fabulous espadrilles. We’ve already done a Real vs. Steal on Valentino’s highly popular lace espadrilles from a few seasons ago and now they’ve updated their shoe collection with a just as stylish crochet version. But as gorgeous as they are, do you actually see yourself spending $675 (!) on a pair of highly delicate espadrilles? Well, I can’t.

Rebecca Minkoff “Genny” Lace Espadrille Flats

Good thing is that I don’t have to spend nearly $700 when there are Valentino-inspired espadrilles like these by Rebecca Minkoff around. And while I admit these aren’t what I’d consider a steal at $67.99 (sale price!) they are still in fact $600 cheaper than the originals. Available in black, red coral, yellow and taupe.

Another great Valentino alternative are these crochet espadrilles by Tory Burch. They aren’t terribly cheaper than the Rebecca Minkoffs but in comparison to the pricey Valentinos they’re quite the good deal. Available in black and white.
