I already said I’m by no means a handbag expert, but even I am acquainted with the Fendi Spy bag. This shoulder bag which is made of ultra-rich nappa leather and finished with woven double top handles, instantly became the “It” bag when it came out a few years ago. All hype aside, I certainly understand why handbag connoisseurs lusted over this delicious piece of arm candy. The design is elegant and versatile and the craftmanship absolutely exquisite. However, not everyone can justify a $2.000 handbag investment including myself.

Baghaus “Spy” Bag
UPDATE (12/31/2009): Found a second, almost identical Fendi Spy bag knockoff by Baghaus which looks so close to the original they didn’t even bother to change the name. Available in black (pictured), brown, mustard, beige and pewter.

Handbag Heaven Classic Secret Agent Bag
If you want a great looking alternative for a fraction of the price, Handbag Heaven has a really good and budget-friendly option for all of us who can’t afford the real deal. Their “classic secret agent bag” is an almost identical copy of the Fendi bag, even the name is a tribute. The bag is made of soft leatherette and comes in either classic black, shimmering pewter or a delightfully mustard color. A great gift for your mom, sister, BFF or your own handbag lovin’ self, of course.

A few days ago Vanessa Hudgens visited the MTV Studios in New York to make an appearance at the It’s On With Alexa Chung show. The actress was papped while leaving the studios in a white shirt dress which she accessorized with a skinny belt, a Givenchy “Melancholia” bag and a pair of Pour La Victoire’s “Pascale” beige sandals.

Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. design team can be often held liable for a lot of my shoe obsessions. Look at the “Tammy” bootie pumps for example. They are so neat and fancy. The criss cross detail I like as well as the sexy zipper in the back and the stiletto heel will make my legs look a mile long. However, the price is a real turn-off.

Chinese Laundry “Love Me” Woven Heels
If you don’t want to spend $350+ on shoes, how about these Tammy knockoffs by Chinese Laundry? They retail for less than a third of the original’s price and come in either black, cognac or natural (my preferred color!).

Qupid Affair-19 Woven Bootie Pumps
These L.A.M.B. knockoffs by Qupid are my favorite in terms of price (on sale for 50% OFF!) and look (come closest to the originals). As you can see these bootie pumps are available in 3 different colors: black, white and brown.

I’ve been wanting these woven Chanel booties for almost a year now. They first caught my attention when I spotted them on the Chanel Resort 2009 runway. It was love at first sight.

I almost forgot about my secret love for these shoes when I saw them again on Solange Knowles’ feet:

I began my online journey to find knockoffs of these ankle boots, but my search was luckless. No Chanel knockoffs far and wide. Until now when I spotted 2 of them on one day. Yay!
Jeffrey Campbell Cage Heel
This cage heel by Jeffrey Campbell is a good Chanel alternative, but I wish they would’ve taken the original swirled heel. Also available in tan at Bunnyhug.co.uk (£150)

GoJane Caged Peep-toe Heel
If spending $200 for a knockoff sounds off-putting to you, these woven booties knockoffs from GoJane ($39.90) might be just for you. They’re very much an exact copy of the Chanels except for the heel which is a stiletto here. Also available in 2 other color options: pink and green (ew!).
