Spring time is the perfect time to get your nautical on! Personally, I’m a big fan of anything nautical because I grew up on the coast line, so anything with navy stripes or anchors on it is a win in my book. I felt like doing a look based on the nautical theme today and while the result may not be exactly a “budget” look, most of the items are relatively affordable on their own. Gotta love Topshop for those amazing red-navy-white platform sandals, right? I’m totally obsessed with them.

Who needs a little love potion in their life? I know I do! This comfy little number by Wildfox looks fantastic on starlets Taylor Swift and Alessandra Ambrosio. GoJane‘s Slouchy Asymmetrical Embellished Graphic Dress is a good copycat version of the Wildfox Love Potion No. 9 Sweater. And the best part is it’s only priced at $24.80! However, I still find myself drawn to the Wildfox Love Potion No. 9 Sweater. I think I’d just rather have it as a top rather than a slouchy fitted dress. Still cute though! Just depends on your style. Available in ivory or black.
I realized all my recent Heel of the Day picks were missing a little spice, so today’s HotD is of the sexy kind again. Because nothing says I’m hot and you know it! quite like a bondage-y black stiletto heel. Case in point: the “Gia” by Charles Jourdan. A perfect 10 in my book and the perfect heel to complete a party outfit! And if you don’t care about boring black, you can opt for either the white or alternatively the taupe version. Let’s make it short and simply take all three!
It really takes a lot for me to like white shoes. Like a whole lot. I can’t explain why exactly I’m not a fan of white shoes, but most of them just look tacky to me. So imagine my surprise when I found myself swooning over these white Bebe ankle strap pumps. Don’t these look like the perfect summer heels? I picture them with a flouncy summer dress which I would wear to a fancy place when I’m on vacation in a few days. And because the picture doesn’t do this heel justice, check out the video below. The arch is pretty crazy, but also soooo stunning! ♥ ♥ ♥
I have to admit this ain’t my best budget look in terms of the “budget” part; because this outfit sums up to a whopping $371.70. However, each item is rather affordable on its own, so I figured I’d still publish it as a “Budget Look“. For the styling part of this outfit I’m quite proud of myself. I know self-praise is socially frowned upon, but I can’t help but keep staring at my own creation here. I’d love to wear this look head-to-toe, it’s quintessentially what I’d call a typical cruise look: a crisp white dress, oversized shades, turquoise accessories with gold accents, summery wedges, fun nail polish and a little bronzer to round it off. What do you think of it?
