Real vs. Steal – Christian Louboutin Panier Espadrille Wedge Sandals

To be honest, when I first saw these Christian Louboutin Panier Espadrille Wedge Sandals I wasn’t overly thrilled. The design truly didn’t appeal to me as much as other lavish Louboutins usually do. But, looking at them actually being worn I had a complete change of mind. I really like the femininity that they add to an outfit not to mention that they can be pretty much worn with anything. I love Cameron Diaz’s outfit; she really displays the beauty of these wedges and most definitely gives them enormous amount of justice, but unfortunately it’s not the same story with the price tag. Due to my rather petite frame and my admiration of high heels, I often look for a wedge heel in order to add height and at the same time provide comfort. The Giuseppe Zanotti I10061 Crystal Wedge Platform Sandals are the ultimate combination of style and support. They are ornamented with luminescent crystals, appearing of different hues at every angle. These shoes are extremely versatile as they can be worn with day or evening wear, and accessorized with some jewelry or serve to be a solitary statement piece. But for $624.19, they are rather unaffordable and truly a very large investment. Check out the alluring look-a-like below.

Though summer is far ahead, these ebullient Christian Louboutin Miss Cristo Platform Sandals are not hard to notice. The straps give this rather casual wedge an elegant touch, while the cork heel maintains an element of minimalism. The bowknot detailing also adds a nice touch of decoration at its best. Such an amazing shoe, but at $595 and already sold out, the look-a-like below is great option.

UPDATE (10/05/2009): Look at this knockoff version by Rosegold and try to spot the difference between this one and the Isabel Marant boots. These booties are as close as you can get to the original.However, a knockoff this great comes at a price: $285. Yup, that’s pretty expensive, but probably still at least a few hundred dollars cheaper than the original. If you have the cash, why not spend it on these awesome knockoffs?
