Hi! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our weekly newsletter. You can also follow us on Twitter or join us on Facebook to never miss a post again. Thanks for stopping by!
We’ve been getting quite a few requests lately to do a post on affordable nude shoes. It’s a trend I have first seen emerging on the red carpet about 2 years ago. Eva Longoria seems to be pioneering this trend as she owns a multitude of nude heels. From simple Louboutin pumps to luscious champagne colored satin evening sandals we can regularly see Eva sporting nude footwear on and off the red carpet. And who can blame her? It’s probably as flattering as a shoe trend can be because nude shoes naturally elongate your legs and can be worn with almost any outfit either dressed up or down.

We’ve made it our mission to find the best nude heels for under $100 and I’m really satisfied with how many fabulous nude shoes are currently on the market for a budget-friendly price. Now that spring has finally come and temperatures are rising, it’s time to lighten up our wardrobes… starting with our shoes! Enjoy our finds and let us know whether or not you like this trend or if you already have a pair of nude heels in your closet.

I love me a good open-toe boot and these booties by L.A.M.B. certainly fit into what I’d consider a lustworthy must-have for transitional weather. The price tag however would put quite a dent into my wallet and that’s just not acceptable for me. Good thing we have the Internet to roam for affordable alternatives.

Dollhouse “Burkenna” Ankle Boots
Now I know these booties by Dollhouse are not open-toe as the L.A.M.B. ones, but the stud and grommet details look almost the same. They also retail for a whole lot less than the originals and therefore are a great alternative if you’re looking to save some cash for the upcoming christmas craze.

I know I’ve told you that I’m a big supporter of colorful shoes and while that may be true, I acknowledge that we all need a basic black shoe collection to get us through all events of life that require the wearing of shoes. Type Z‘s “I Can” ankle boots would be my ideal candidates for the universally stylish black ankle boot. I mentioned yesterday that one of the most important factors for me when buying shoes is the shape of a shoe. I love stiletto heels and sleek silhouettes and these booties have both! The 4 3/4″ stiletto heel will make your legs look a mile long while the hidden 1″ platform helps you to get maximum comfort. L.O.V.E.

These lace-up sandals belonged to my favorite styles from the L.A.M.B. collection, but the price of $359 is such a turn-off. Even though they’re on sale for half the price now, I still feel they’re a bit too pricey for me.

ALDO “Mauceri” Wedge Sandals
UPDATE (10/16/2009): Stumbled upon these great and affordable L.A.M.B. knockoffs by ALDO.

Type Z “Lavey” Lace-Up Sandals
If you covet the L.A.M.B. sandals, but don’t want to spend quite that much, how about these super identical knockoffs by Type Z? They look almost like the originals and the only difference I can spot between these two is that the cone heel on the Type Z sandals is wooden colored while it’s silver on the L.A.M.B. ones. Apart from that they look like twins, but cost so much less. I really love these!

Finding weather appropriate shoes for the transition phase between summer and fall can be quite tough sometimes. You can’t wear sandals because your feet would freeze at night, but wearing booties the all day long will cook your feet and make them a boiling torture as well. That’s why open-toe ankle booties are just perfect for this difficult time. They let your feet breathe during the day, but keep them warm at night. The Giuseppe Zanotti cut-out peep-toe booties below are a great example of such footwear.

Giuseppe Zanotti Cut-Out Peep-toe Booties
($605.99, Bluefly)
Type Z “Twilight” Cut-out Ankle Boots
These cut-out peep-toe booties by Type Z will give you an almost identical Giuseppe Zanotti look for about 1/6 of the original’s sale price. The heel is slightly thicker on these knockoffs, but apart from that they could be easily mistaken for the real deal, don’t you think?

Dorothy Perkins Lace Up Strap Booties
UK/European fans of the above Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toe booties can save some serious cash as well by opting for these Zanotti look-a-likes by Dorothy Perkins. They lack the contrast white stitching, but make up for this with the almost identical stiletto heel. Plus, they’re currently on sale for £25 (were £38).
