With this nice weather finally streaming in, the sandal phenomenon has grown to new heights, literally. These crisscross sandals by Loeffler Randall are particularly interesting, and have been seen worn by both Leighton Meester on the set of Gossip Girl and Emma Watson. However, what I absolutely love about these sandals is that they are in pure form of versatility. Leighton sports a more preppy look than Emma who is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum with her rocker-esque ensemble. I truly love both looks, especially how well these “Paige” sandals are being worn. Though the price is beyond my budget, that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t indulge in the steal below.

Nine & Co. “Moonlite” Wedge Sandals
Although these “Moonlight” Sandals by Nine & Co. are in wedge form, they preserve the most significant aspect of the sandals above. That is of course the crisscross detailing, which is practically identical to the real deal. Plus, these are only $40 so one doesn’t feel guilty about splurging on a pair of out-of-budget designer shoes. Ultimately, you can still keep the versatile feature in addition to the comfortable wedge heel without spending too much.

So I really, really want a pair of bright yellow strappy sandals for Spring/Summer. As a matter of fact I actually already own a pair of yellow strappy sandals, but those are rather cool and edgy than cute, so I’m thinking about getting these yellow suede beauties by Topshop to further broaden my wardrobe outfit options for the warmer seasons. And while we’re at it: how beautiful is the light blue version of these heels? Love, love, love!

What is it about pink platforms in the wintertime that makes me smile? Aahhh, the perfect cure for the winter blues (well… besides a good hot toddy)! And Jimmy Choo‘s “Vamp” is making me feel all warm and tingly. But what’s scaring me is the shocking price tag – $750, really? OK, that won’t be happening this winter or the next; which is why the steal below will be just fine.

Nine West “Krysten” Sandals
UPDATE (02/13/2012): Although the heel of this Nine West shoe is not as elegant as on the real deal, it still very much mimics the Jimmy Choo design, doesn’t it?

Dune “Gwnyeth D” Strappy Sandals
It’s cold outside, but I’m dreaming of sand dunes. Well, actually I’m daydreaming about “Gwnyeth D” by Dune. So cute, so pink & so affordable! But if you aren’t trying to emulate Barbie by wearing pink heels, then you’re in luck. You can get this heel in black, plum and teal satin as well as black/taupe glitter. Hot toddy anyone?

Every girl should own a go-to evening shoe, aside from the usual day-to-day staple. Coinciding with that thought, every girl should own a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes, or I can only hope to own a pair someday. With the extreme price of these Balota 120 Glitter-Finish Multi-Strap Sandals, I don’t think I will be calling them mine any time soon, and they’re already sold out. If you worship these as much as I do, then the alternative may simply fulfill your wish.

Badgley Mischka “Junebug” Glitter Sandals
I have always been a fan of Badgley Mischka, and these “Junebug” Glitter Sandals are a great alternative. Available in black, charcoal, and rose gold, these sandals feature braided-like straps which add to the overall architectural inspiration. Though they may still be on the expensive side, the result is a great shoe which is both high quality and a long lasting favorite.

Sometimes shoe designers have a look. You see their shoes and immediately can shout out the brand, whether or not you’ve recently viewed the collection. Though it makes a fun game, it’s particularly challenging to play if Giuseppe Zanotti is what’s in front of you. Each season the shoes are sexy and sophisticated, but constantly evolving. They never look too much like a season before. Take these sandals for example, fresh and new – it’s like your foot got all tangled up in a few belts, but in a cool way, obviously.

DV by Dolce Vita “Cleo” Strappy Sandals
If the Zanottis are a bit out of your range, then DV by Dolce Vita can come to the rescuse, again. The mid-priced collection is constantly creating great quality looks for less than the name brand. What I love most about the DVs is that they aren’t trying too hard. Sure, they take style cues from the big boys, but they add in their own twist like the great stud detail below. Available in brown, black & natural.
