Sometimes shoe designers have a look. You see their shoes and immediately can shout out the brand, whether or not you’ve recently viewed the collection. Though it makes a fun game, it’s particularly challenging to play if Giuseppe Zanotti is what’s in front of you. Each season the shoes are sexy and sophisticated, but constantly evolving. They never look too much like a season before. Take these sandals for example, fresh and new – it’s like your foot got all tangled up in a few belts, but in a cool way, obviously.

Luichiny “To Die For” Strappy Platform Sandals
UPDATE (12/17/2011): Found another affordable and almost identical Giuseppe Zanotti knockoff by Luichiny. Available in black, brown and natural leather.

DV by Dolce Vita “Cleo” Strappy Sandals
If the Zanottis are a bit out of your range, then DV by Dolce Vita can come to the rescuse, again. The mid-priced collection is constantly creating great quality looks for less than the name brand. What I love most about the DVs is that they aren’t trying too hard. Sure, they take style cues from the big boys, but they add in their own twist like the great stud detail below. Available in brown, black & natural.

The Yves Saint Laurent Baobab Python Wedge is a statement piece on its own as it can spice up any outfit. I adore the juxtaposition of the various colors; the olive and orange among the gray python creates a frivolous pattern adding more depth and texture to the overall appearance. Also, the sculpted heel is so artistic and fascinating to look at. These would make a great addition to my closet and perfectly coincide with my love of neutral toned clothing. But as much as I love YSL, I definitely cannot afford these amazing wedge sandals for $1.995. Take a look at the wonderful steal below!

Jeffrey Campbell “For Real” Strappy Platform Sandals
Though a different color pattern, these shoes are definitely hot! With the magenta color and metallic undertone, you are destined to capture all of the attention. The sculpted heel is still very apparent just like in the YSL; the only thing that’s really missing would be the python print and a bit more straps. Other than that, the Jeffrey Campbell “FOR REAL” platforms are an identical match for $134.95. This steal is a sartorial sensation.

What is it about pink platforms in the wintertime that makes me smile? Aahhh, the perfect cure for the winter blues (well… besides a good hot toddy)! And Jimmy Choo‘s “Vamp” is making me feel all warm and tingly. But what’s scaring me is the shocking price tag – $649, really? OK, that won’t be happening this winter or the next; which is why the steal below will be just fine.

Dune “Gwnyeth D” Strappy Sandals
It’s cold outside, but I’m dreaming of sand dunes. Well, actually I’m daydreaming about “Gwnyeth D” by Dune. So cute, so pink & so affordable! But if you aren’t trying to emulate Barbie by wearing pink heels, then you’re in luck. You can get this heel in black, plum and teal satin as well as black/taupe glitter. Hot toddy anyone?

I really didn’t think I would love these 70′s platform sandals by Casadei as much as I do. You know I’m usually not the first one to queue for a pair of hot pink pair of shoes, especially when they have so many 70′s fashion references, but in the case of these Casadei heels there’s just something so intriguing about them that I can’t help but love them! Check out the lovely Carolina from Fashionsquad wearing these showstoppers below. So gorge!

Jessica Simpson “Pai” Strappy Platform Sandals
Too bad there’s no pink version of Jessica Simpson‘s Casadei dupe named “Pai”. But I do love the black and the teal suede color. They’re almost 100% identical compared to the originals and the price is pretty sweet, too! Only $98.

OK, I simply cannot help myself; I must say it (well, actually sing it in my head): “… ’cause this is thriller, thriller night…” – Thanks for indulging me & singing along as well – I know you did; it’ll be our lil’ secret. Unfortunately these Thriller sandals by Alejandro Ingelmo cannot stay between us; I simply must share the beauty of this snakeskin platform, criss-cossing, multi strap, gladiator bootie, yet sandal – whew! A mouthful. But even better news is that the suggested retail price is around $875, but we found it at Endless on sale for only $453. And if that’s too tall for your short money supply, we found a steal that’s sure to thrill.
