I usually don’t fall for girly girl stuff, but these jelly slingbacks by Melissa are just too darn cute. What’s not to love? The pastel candy color reminds me of cupcakes, the cute heart makes my inner 8 year old swoon and the 2 1/2″ heel is a welcome change from the 4″-5″ inch stilettos that usually grace my feet.

These towering triple platform slingbacks by Christian Louboutin are certainly not for the faint of heart. You’d have to be a stiletto-proof high heel regular in order to NOT break your ankles in these and the hefty price tag of $1.095 doesn’t make them accessible for budget-conscious fashionistas either.

Nine West Ultrafresh Platform Peep-toes
UPDATE (12/09/2009): Found another great Louboutin knockoff version by Nine West.
I really didn’t expect to find a knockoff of these Loubies after such a long time, but when I recently visited ASOS’ website these darlings just popped up and I had to do a double take because at first sight it’s hard to see a difference between the original Louboutin platforms and Nine West’s knocked-off pair. Upon closer inspection it’s easy to see that the NW slingbacks are not as high as the Loubies though. UK gals, you are a lucky bunch. Everybody else will probably have to wait a few more weeks to find these in stores.

The upper finish is grosgrain canvas instead of black patent leather, but the cork heel and the shape of the platform pump look almost identical.
