Posting a steal find for an Alexander McQueen item always makes me a little sad because I feel very strongly about the brand and the designer and would like to be able to support it by buying the real deal, however my budget says otherwise. McQueen’s iconic skull print scarves have been around for a while now and it didn’t take long before they became a celebrity staple. And who can blame them really? The scarves, which are now available in a million color combinations, are absolutely fabulous; scary skulls printed on delicate silk? Gotta love the contradiction. What’s not to love though? The price of almost $300, obviously.

StyleInch Skull Print Chiffon Scarf
While doing my daily browsing on Amazon I discovered that StyleInch have an incredibly similar pair of skull print chiffon scarves which they are selling for $29; a mere 1/10th of the original’s price. Sure, you can’t expect the same quality, but if you’re looking for inexpensive Alexander McQueen skull print scarf look-a-likes, this is the place to go. And the best part? The scarves are available in an array of different colors: black and white

For the last few years I’ve been really feeling the attraction of cobalt blue. Not sure why, but I always feel magically attracted to anything that’s vibrant blue. And even though I’m mostly a dress girl, I couldn’t help but fall in love with this beautiful cobalt blue silk shirt by Ann Taylor. Just think of all the outfit choices you’d have with such a versatile yet statement-making shirt! You could pair it with classic black cigarette pants or breezy white flared linen pants to intensify the vibrant blue color. Capri pants, a pencil skirt or your favorite pair of jeans would go just as well with it. You could even consider wearing it bottomless if you feel particularly fashion forward/Lady GaGa-ish; I’m sure you’d still look A-class in it, though be warned, you might get some “Look at this pantless weirdo!“-stares from passersby. Anyway, did I mention I love this blue silk shirt? No really, I loooooove it.

So if you’ve been reading this blog for more than one day you’ll probably have already noticed that I loooooove leopard. Maybe that I’m even a little obsessed with it. Especially with leopard accessories. The easiest way to wear this animal print, for me, is to wear it on a scarf. Last year I bought a great leopard print scarf from Warehouse via ASOS and have been wearing it every other day ever since! And if there ever was a perfect leopard print scarf, it would have to be this silk one by Yves Saint Laurent. Isn’t it absolutely stunning? So delicate yet wild! Gorgeous! But $560? Slightly out of my price range I’m afraid.

Volcom “Naute Girl” Leopard Print Scarf
So this leopard print scarf by Volcom is 100% polyester and not silk, but at $25 who am I to complain? It will give you the identical look of the YSL scarf and save you a friggin’ $535.

I don’t know if someone over at Fendi didn’t use spellcheck, but I totally desire these appropriately named Desir Silk & Suede Sandal Boots. My God, they’re gorgeous! But I’ve checked my budget for the month (twice actually) and these babies priced @ $796 will not be accompanying me home. But we’ve done some checking and found a great alternative.

Uhm… who’s gonna look just as cute as Carey Mulligan (yep, she got my vote), but for about $600 less? You ol’ bargain shopper, you, that’s who! Señor Martinez Valero put some fire into his desire and created a very good copy just for you. No one else, just you – I promise.

OK, today’s Heel of the Day post is going to be short & simple because I want you to head over to LuLu*s ASAP and get your own pair of these super fab pink Bamboo cork platform pumps for the amazing price of only $32. How awesome is that? They slightly remind me of Christian Louboutin’s “Catenita” slingbacks which I absolutely adored. Don’t you love it when cheap & fabulous come hand in hand? I sure do.
