I’ve been in love with these strappy Jimmy Choo sandals ever since I saw the beauty that is Hilary Rhoda flaunting them with a nude dress. Unfortunately, the price aspect is a fatal factor in all of my (shoe) purchases. Sigh! It must be great to be a celebrity and get all the stuff for free or if not for free than at least not having to care about the fact that you can’t pay your rent next month if you buy those sizzling heels. Oh yes, the complex lives of us mortal non-millionaires!

Steve Madden ROCKERR Strappy Sandals
I know these Steve Madden sandals aren’t exactly knockoffs because they miss some straps and the loopholes in the middle, but overall I’d say they are a wonderful alternative if you can’t afford the real deal. Best thing is: they are currently on sale for $89.98 (50% OFF) and come in either black snakeskin or pewter leather.

Zippers are hot this year and the zippered L.A.M.B. sandals below proof that this trend isn’t going anywhere. However, most fashionistas have to watch their shopping budget and spending $350 for a trendy shoe may be not the best idea.

Wild Diva JELENA Zippered Booties
HOT DEAL: Enter promo code FJINTHEIRCLOSET to receive $10 OFF your purchase of $100 or more (offer valid until August 31st, 2009).
If you are looking to save a lot of money, you might want to go for these knockoff sandals by Wild Diva. They come in either black (pictured), brown or beige (my favorite!).

P.S.: LoveMyShoes has the same zippered sandals by Wild Diva in brown and black.
Let’s be honest: when it comes to shoes even the most fashionable woman can become quite conservative. I don’t know about you, but I find myself having way too many black shoes in my closet and wish I would be more adventurous with color.
The Jimmy Choo sandals (original price $795) below are extremely cute and should not be banned just because they’re yellow. Pair them with your favorite skinny jeans, a funky skirt or a floral dress and you’re bound to be noticed.

I love Marni’s whole Spring 2009 shoe collection. All the chunky platforms and the wooden heels are simply to-die-for. These dark brown sandals below have a double platform and originally retailed for $790, but are currently on sale for $474 on NET-A-PORTER.

Steve Madden LAINY Platform Sandals
Steve Madden’s LAINY sandal is not an exact copy because the color is lighter and the platform is different, but it still evokes a Marni look & feel. A wooden heel like this one has been used on many of the other Marni styles from this season, so it’s definitely inspired by. They are also available in black and retail for $89.95.

I’ve always loved Jimmy Choos. He makes constantly amazing shoes and his creations look great on almost every woman’s feet. These strappy snakeskin sandals would make great high heels for summer dresses.

Jimmy Choo Seattle strappy sandals
($597, NET-A-PORTER)
Jimmy Choo is a regular on the red carpet as you can see below and the “Seattle” style has been worn multiple times by celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens who wore them to the Golden Globes, Isla Fisher who wore them with a Jasmine Di Milo sequin dress, Brittany Snow who went for a stark contrast with her black patent version or actress Elodie Bouchez who wore them in black satin with a lustworthy Balmain number.

Nine West Sheik Ankle Strap Sandal
This strappy sandal by Nine West is not an exact knockoff because it doesn’t have the same criss cross straps as the original Choos, but they are still a great and affordable alternative and happen to be currenty on sale. If you prefer a different color, they also come in gold, green, turquoise, red, beige/black, black patent, and white.
