Just because it isn’t summer doesn’t mean that I can’t delve into my admiration for Resort collections. From menswear for women to whimsical and feminine patterns, wedges are truly my favorite aspect of summer fashion. Combining my favorite elements of a great wedge are these Christian Dior Antica Stitched Suede Platform Wedges. These sought-after shoes are undeniably pricey, but the steal below is certainly budget-friendly and just as impeccable.

Diavolina “Andie” Woven Wedges
It is very often that I have my fantastical moments while thinking about cruising in the Caribbean; with my nautical inspired attire paired with wedges. Though my nostalgic dreams may be unrealistic, purchasing these Diavolina wedges isn’t. Fashioned just as brilliantly as the Christian Dior wedges, except for the soaring price tag, these wedges are exceptionally versatile and the inspiration of the design is very clear.

UPDATE: This post has been updated on February 17, 2012. I usually don't do updates simply because an item's price has been lowered, but the pastel versions have been marked down by 30% at Endless only after being 2 weeks in and I had to share that amazing deal with you all. I just wish I had waited a little longer with my own purchase since I got the lavender version last week when it was still full price. Well, c'est la vie! Now I'm eyeing the coral and the mint ones. I LOVE these heels! So pretty!
I love, want & need these pastel colored suede platform beauties by Steve Madden in my life! All of them & ASAP! Aren’t they the most perfect shoes for spring and summer? I love the fun cotton candy colors and the simple yet flattering design of the shoe. And they’d look amazing with anything in your wardrobe: from skirts, to jeans, sundresses or shorts. Instant shoe love!

So how lovely are these two-tone sandals by Schutz? I’m absolutely smitten with the simplicity of the shape, the contrast between the cream and black panels and the sexy cut-outs. I can see them work with both casual clothes like jeans and a simple tee or dressed up with an LBD and a standout clutch.

Got a little bit of a rocker-girl inside but don’t know how to express it? Try wearing these Balenciaga sandals and you’ll exude just enough edge while maintaining a polished look. Looking for the best way to pull them off? If you have long legs, try a black pencil skirt with a slightly longer hem in back and if you’re petite or curvy, wear some black leggings like Rihanna (below) with an off-the-shoulder knit dress. But the most important accessory is confidence, and to rock these – you gotta show it. While these shoes are amazing, if they don’t fit your budget, scroll down cause the steal we found is a ringer for the original.

Strategia “Alicia” Open Toe Slingbacks
Nope, you’re not seeing double. This pair by Strategia is actually quite a bit less than the ones above. What’s keeping you from making them yours? These architectural sandals will look artsy and modern with some red nail polish or go mysterious with a darker one. Either way, just let your shoes make the introduction and you can take over from there.

Last week we showed you the gorgeous turquoise suede version of Christian Louboutin‘s “Super Domblasle” cork platforms and today we’re highlighting the quite as lustworthy shiny patent version. I’m still torn on the extreme platform, but all in all I do love the design. The price? Not so much.

Nine West “Troischic” Wedge Sandals
UPDATE (02/15/2012): Came across another great and affordable Louboutin alternative. These wedges by Nine West do have a few differences, but overall they still share the same style. While I like the black version I’m even more in love with the brighter options like orange and yellow.

GUESS Tunsa “Cork” Platform Wedges
UPDATE (07/25/2011): Here’s an almost identical version of CL’s “Super Dombasles” by GUESS. And did I mention they’re on sale? Score! Available in black, white or nude patent.

Bebe “Leah” Cork Wedge Sandals
Even though Bebe is known for their sky-high heels, in the case of copying the “Super Dombasle” they weren’t quite brave enough to go all the way and copy the 3 inch platform as well. Instead they reduced it by 50% and put a silly flower on the ankle strap; probably to distract from the fact that otherwise it’s pretty much an identical twin of the CL version. But yes, the flower is detachable. Thank God!
