Sandals

So you might already know about my love for all things Prada and if you’ve been following this blog for a while you’ll probably also know that I’m big, really BIG, on the leopard trend (which is still going strong these days). Hence my obsession with these leopard-printed Prada platforms shouldn’t come as a surprise to you. These heels are absolute head-turners and all what’s needed to make a monochrome outfit pop. Just look at Emmy Rossum rocking her Pradas with leather skinnies, a white blazer and a neon yellow purse. Doesn’t she look amazing? Now even if you were willing to spend a fortune on a pair of shoes, it’s too bad, but they’re long gone and all sold out.

I’m not sure which woman wouldn’t want jewels around her ankles? And I’m sure you can clearly see why these Giuseppe Zanotti high heel sandals are sold out! I love the nude color straps and the decent heel height, but I’m not sold on the price! At $1.095 and sold out I think we can do better!

BCBGeneration “Pashas” High-Heel Sandals

I love the crystals on these BCBGeneration sandals! I’m not too fond of the not-so-sleek heel, but I’ll get over that! Definitely love the price though: only $98! Available in nude, black, pewter and gold.

There’s something about YSL shoes that always keeps me fascinated. I think it’s how most of their shoes have this chunky, awfully impractical platform and the resulting ultra-high stiletto heel that comes with such a platform shape. Perfect examples are the Tribute sandals, the infamous YSL Trib Two pumps and also these black suede platform sandals below which I find myself being quite fond of.

Kylie Minogue Loves YSL

Kylie Minogue has always been a dedicated fan of Yves Saint Laurent and can be often seen wearing something YSL like 2 days ago when she was papped at the airport in Lisbon, Portugal wearing the cutout platforms.

Bebe “Maya” Leather Cutout Sandals

For weeks I was desperately trying to identify these Bebe knockoffs. I think I already mentioned my knockoff intuition in a previous post. I knew that these platforms were designer knockoffs, but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. The mystery is now finally resolved. If you prefer a different color and want to cut off the price by more than 50%, there is also a tiger-printed suede version of the Maya sandal available which is on sale for $38.49.

This is it. I’m officially back to black. Le sigh! All it took me to get hooked on black heels again was this fine beauty by Creative Recreation. You all know how much I love a perfectly shaped arch and well, this one is pretty much a 10 out of 10 in my book. The buckled ankle strap, peep-toe, platform and 5 inch heel are a nice bonus though!

If you consider yourself an avantgarde rebel of fashion or truly related to Sarah Jessica Parker’s cinematic twin Carrie Bradshaw, then these Nicholas Kirkwood sandals are for you. Although I’ll pass; these are a little too much (ok, way too much) for me in terms of both design and price. These… uhm, shall I say I-bet-they-have-a-wonderful personality heels (wink, wink) go for roughly $1.200! But have no fear you rebel without a cause and/or those without a lot of cash, we’ve done our homework and found an awesomely priced alternative!
