A couple of months back we did a post on Camilla Belle’s gorgeous Max Azria Silk mini dress, but at the time we didn’t have a steal version for you lovely folks. I gushed over the color and the shape, the ruffle, the slit, and how perfect it all was for summer. One thing not so worship-worthy was and is the price. Also unfortunate is the fact that the dress is sold out. No wonder, really, considering how, well belle Miss Belle looks wearing it.

LuLu*s Miss Mitzy Mint Dress

Leave it to LuLu*s to feature a stellar knockoff of our Max Azria frock. They have the best mix of brightly colored, fun, summer dresses, don’t you think? Sure, their “Miss Mitzy Mint” dress is more of a turquoise than a green, but I think this bluer color is probably more universally flattering than the sea green of the original. This is the perfect dress to take you from the heat of a summer day to the very different heat of a summer night. Only $39!

I love Black Halo dresses but who doesn’t? They are so elegant, so chic and timeless – great investment pieces! Unfortunately not everyone can invest $349 in a dress because they have silly stuff to pay like rent and food and mortgages. However, even at these prices Black Halo creations sell like hot cakes.

Celebrities Love Black Halo

Black Halo has always been very popular among celebrities, but this ruffled pencil dress was a must-have. I seriously lost count on how many celebrities have already been spotted in this dress. Taraji P. Henson was the first to sport one in black, then came Debra Messing and from then on the rest followed.

If you like Black Halo’s sheath dress, but can’t spend $300+ on a dress, try this knockoff version by ChicStar. It might not be as delicate as the original, but you can’t beat the price of $34.95 (1/10!). The Black Halo knockoff dress comes in either blue or black and would make a great wear-to-work dress, don’t you think?

I know summer may be close to being over, but I can’t oppose diving into this summery blue Haute Hippie dress! I love the ruffles as it makes the look ultra feminine. Plus a plunging neckline and a high split really add up the sex appeal! Yet I know not all of us are going to spend $475 on a dress (yes, it is gorgeous but not that gorgeous!), so we’ve got a good steal for you!

Oasis Ruffle Halter Midi Dress

Love Oasis for this one! I love the color and I actually like that it’s longer, too! Plus, the belt is a very nice accent to the ultra feminine nature of the dress. And the best part is it’s only $112.05 at ASOS.

Ahh, the fantasy continues. What fantasy you ask? My loquacious behavior for repeating the name Badgley Mischka (which I wrote about last week). But I will spare you all that today. I’m focused on how to convey the beauty of this red heel. Since I can’t seem to find the words, how about me painting a pretty picture for you?! Picture this: You’re at a glamorous event (Ms. Lady In Red), wearing these and dancing the night away. If you’re anything like me, you’d kick these babies off after dancing 3-4 songs and let others see the maker of your ravishing red heels! I know, I know, it’s a little pretentious, but can you blame me? Dammit for $200, I want to get my money’s worth! What’s a girl to do; competing with all those coveted, insanely expensive red bottom heels out there? ;)

UPDATE (05/24/2011): UK & European readers, rejoice! Found a nice Randee alternative by Oasis for you. Too bad they don’t come in fire red. BUT until today midnight (05/24/2011) you can save 20% OFF your order at Oasis when you enter coupon code “20LOOKSS11” at checkout.

RSVP “Carol” Ruffled Sandals

Um… seriously, what does RSVP do? Sit around waiting for Badgley Mischka to design a heel; to only then, rush to knock it off? Or do I detect a mole? Because they have the BEST copies of Badgley Mischka’s heels! So if you’re not a “label whore” like myself (pin a rose on your nose) and don’t give 2 cents about having a designer label in your shoes, then girlfriend, once again, rsvp for these (ridiculously affordable) “Carol” heels. Which are nearly, undetectable copies of the (ritzy) “Randees”.

Budget Look – Bright Eyed Girl

by Irina on April 18, 2011

After doing a post on neon pink shoes I felt really inspired to do a budget look featuring bright solid colors (very on trend for S/S 2011). I love the combination of the hot pink dress and the cold blue hue of the pumps. The turquoise jewelry gives an additional pop of color while the bag mutes the look a bit. My tip: match your mani and pedi to your dress and you’ll be a perfect, fabulous 10/10!
