Real vs. Steal – Jimmy Choo Grant Satin Peep-toe Pumps

UPDATE: This post has been updated on March 02, 2010. Scroll down to see the new add.

Hi! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our weekly newsletter. You can also follow us on Twitter or join us on Facebook to never miss a post again. Thanks for stopping by!

Nothing says I’m dressed up like a ladylike, satin stiletto—and these Jimmy Choo Satin Peep-toe Pumps say that and then some. They are dressy, yes, but in a restrained, Upper East Side way. Can’t you just see Lily of Gossip Girl fluttering around a charity event in them?

Martinez Valero “Orli” Satin Peep-toe Pumps

While satin and jewels are de rigeur in the world of formal wear, thankfully, an $895 price tag is not. Next time you have a semi-formal or formal event, consider the “Orli” Satin Peep-toe Pump by Martinez Valero. Like those enviable Choos, the gleaming “Orli” exudes elegance, complete with that subtle bow-and-buckle detail. If we could get the fictional Lily to sport this pair as well, she’d have $735.05 left over to give to her pet charity. Available in black, blue, red, bronze, ivory & silver satin.

Real vs. Steal – Christian Louboutin Mount Street Petal Sandals

UPDATE: This post has been updated on February 28, 2010. Scroll down to see the new add.

Oh, Christian Louboutin, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. This man was born to make women happy… with shoes. Whatever he comes up with, it’s almost guaranteed to become a must-have – wanted and coveted by women all over the world. This petal sandal below is one of his rather classic designs and still there’s something striking about it. That inexplicable je ne sais quoi.

If the real deal is out of your budget, check out these great Louboutin knockoffs by Martinez Valero. The petals are slightly less voluminous on these sandals, but everything else looks almost identical (minus the red signature sole). And isn’t the fuchsia version to-die-for? They have also a gorgeous purple satin version that you should check out. Other color options are ivory, bronze and silver.

Real vs. Steal – Alexander McQueen Crystal Embellished Peep-toe Pumps

Everyone who follows this blog for a while should be aware of my everlasting love for everything Alexander McQueen – especially my love affair with his shoes. His creations are always so stunning and unique. Take these gorgeous white satin peep-toes for example. If I was to marry anytime soon, I would definitely choose these as my bridal shoes and feel like Cinderella in a fairy tale.

If the real McQueen crystal heels don’t fit within your wedding/shopping budget, go for these budget-friendly satin peep-toes by RSVP instead. They’re called “Lovely” and that’s exactly what they are. Absolutely lovely! I’m so, so, so in love. Now I know they do miss the front crystals, but everything else looks almost identical. And they come in an array of adorable colors such as baby blue and fuchsia, too. I cannot make up my mind which one is my favorite!

Real vs. Steal – Tory Burch Lace-up Leather Boots

UPDATE: This post has been updated on October 31, 2009. Scroll down to see the new knockoff.

I never paid that much attention to Tory Burch until now, but these lace-up boots here definitely put her on my radar. I like the masculine shape, the buckles and chunky heel and I think they’d look fantastic if paired with a feminine floral dress to balance out the look and put in some extra contrast.

While these boots by RSVP might not be blatant knockoffs I think they still qualify as a great alternative if you are looking for a cheaper version of the Tory Burch boots. They are not quite what I’d call a steal at $169 a pair, but still about $430 less than the originals. Also available in brown (my personal favorite!).

Real vs. Steal – Manolo Blahnik Something Blue Satin Pumps

UPDATE: This post has been updated on September 23, 2009. Scroll down to see the new adds.

I know you’re going to love this! Remember the gorgeous blue Cinderella-like Manolos Carrie wore at the end of the Sex and the City Movie? Yeah, I couldn’t get them out of my head either. The classic design and the bold blue hue make them great contenders for your favorite formal footwear.

Sex and the City Loves Manolo Blahnik

In the movie Carrie said they cost $525, but due to the vast demand retailers almost doubled the price to outrageous $925 making them a fictional purchase only for most of us shoe addicts who are living on a budget. What a bummer!

RSVP “Zaza” Blue Satin Pumps

UPDATE (09/23/2009): Stumbled upon these awesome Manolo Blahnik knockoffs by RSVP today.

Look what I found! If you missed out on the Martinez Valero heels or just couldn’t justify the $160 price tag, these satin pumps by RSVP look almost identical, but are $60 cheaper. Available in blue, black, ivory and white. Grab these knockoffs while you can, I’m sure they are going to sell out super fast.

RSVP also has a flat heeled version of the Manolo Blahnik look-a-likes called “Cassiecj” ($99) which looks exactly like the Martinez Valero version except with a low heel.

Shiekh “Mitzy Hachi-200″ Satin Pumps

UPDATE (09/23/2009): Another alternative to the Manolo Blahnik Something Blue satin pumps.

I know these satin pumps by Shiekh aren’t exactly knockoffs, but the blue satin and the vamp embellishment reminded me of the Manolo Blahniks above and since these here resemble the Sedaraby pumps by Blahnik famously worn by Carrie Bradshaw a lot, I thought I just put them here as a budget-friendly alternative for under $50. Also available in pink and black satin!

Martinez Valero “Zenith” Blue Satin Pumps

Do not despair however! Because Martinez Valero has finally heard our prayers! He came up with an almost identical pair of his own blue satin pumps which also have the vamp embellishment, but cost only about 1/10 of the original Manolos. So if you are in need of beautiful yet affordable bridal shoes, these here might be your best bet. But hurry, once the masses get wind of these Manolo Blahnik look-a-likes, I guarantee you, they will be gone in a minute!

Real vs. Steal – Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby D’Orsay Pumps

Which girl doesn’t dream of having a pair of Manolo Blahniks to call their own? Unfortunately, the accompanying price tag of $500 and more often keeps this dream from ever coming true. But fear not, knockoffs are always on the way. And I have found some great alternatives for those trying to save money.

If I had a multimillionaire’s budget, I would gladly spend $700 for the Manolo Blahnik “Sedaraby” d’Orsay pumps. They look terrific, are very feminine and would make a perfect bridal shoe. Manolo high heels are also considered to be pretty comfy, so if I could, I would already have these in my closet.

RSVP “Taran” D’Orsay Pumps

If you want a shoe in the identical style as shown above for a fraction of the price, RSVP has a great, budget-friendly alternative. Except for the straight heel, they look the same to me. And being priced at $89 they are quite a steal, too. Also available in 5 other colors.

Dyeables “Onyx” D’Orsay Pumps

These Manolo Blahnik inspired d’Orsay pump by Dyeables are my personal favorites. They are a little more expensive than RSVP’s “Taran”, but overall I’d say you’ll get better quality. The upper material is a beautiful silk satin and the heel is 3″ only. Score!

Pelle Moda “Nemo” Pumps

These d’Orsay pumps by Pelle Moda are also great Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby knockoffs. The heel on there is again slightly different, but otherwise the shoes look practically identical. They also happen to be the most expensive knockoffs retailing for around $140 a pair. Available in silver, black, bronze, platinum and pewter.
