Real vs. Steal – Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby D’Orsay Pumps

Which girl doesn’t dream of having a pair of Manolo Blahniks to call her own? Unfortunately, price tags of $500 and upwards keep this dream from ever coming true. But fear not there are fab yet budget-friendly Manolo look-a-likes out there. And we have found a few great alternatives for those trying to save money. If I had a multimillionaire’s budget, I would gladly spend $755 on the Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby d’Orsay pumps. They look terrific, are super feminine and would make the perfect bridal shoe. Manolo high heels are also considered to be pretty comfy, so if I could I would already have these in my closet.

These Manolo Blahnik look-a-likes by Dyeables are my personal favorites. They are a little more expensive than RSVP’s “Taran”, but overall I’d say you’ll get better quality. The upper material is a beautiful silk satin and the heel is 3″ only. Score!

Pelle Moda “Nemo” Pumps

These d’Orsay pumps by Pelle Moda are also great Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby knockoffs. The heel on there is again slightly different, but otherwise the shoes look practically identical. They also happen to be the most expensive knockoffs retailing for around $140 a pair. Available in silver, black, bronze, platinum and pewter.

Ahh, the fantasy continues. What fantasy you ask? My loquacious behavior for repeating the name Badgley Mischka (which I wrote about last week). But I will spare you all that today. I’m focused on how to convey the beauty of this red heel. Since I can’t seem to find the words, how about me painting a pretty picture for you?! Picture this: You’re at a glamorous event (Ms. Lady In Red), wearing these and dancing the night away. If you’re anything like me, you’d kick these babies off after dancing 3-4 songs and let others see the maker of your ravishing red heels! I know, I know, it’s a little pretentious, but can you blame me? Dammit for $200, I want to get my money’s worth! I don’t know how they do it, but Yves Saint Laurent makes some of the most iconic shoes I’ve ever seen. Especially their “Tribute” collection is a hit among celebrities, fashion connoisseurs and us totally obsessed shoe freaks. I’ve loved the Tribute sandals from the first moment I saw them, but never got the chance to go for the real deal or snap up one of the various knockoffs (check!) back then when they were considered the “It” shoe of the year. My favorite Tribute sandal was the purple suede version with gold trimming, but the black patent version is of course more versatile.
