So can we first gush a little about the incredibly talented lady that is Wendy from Wendy’s Lookbook?! Seriously, girl has got mad style & a very refined taste. Her outfits are always so well put together; never bland or boring. Case in point: this lovely striped outfit that instantly caught my eye. So I decided to recreate it on a more budget-friendly level. What do you think? Does it do Wendy’s style justice? I can’t believe she’s been style blogging only a little over a year. Such a pro already! Haven’t heard of Wendy yet? Then hop over to her blog and make sure to subscribe to her just as lovely channel on YouTube (she’s awesome at doing fashion-related videos, too!)

As much as I love showing you avantgarde heels, sometimes you gotta go back to the roots – I just love how dressy and beautiful these classic red peep-toe pumps by Joan & David are! And that cute bow on the vamp? Kills it for me. Instant solemates! Too bad the price tag won’t let me find my way to my beautiful red solemate. Le sigh! But that’s what sales are for, right?

Red pumps – every woman should have at least one pair of red pumps in her closet. Slip them on and you’ll have an instantly sexed up outfit. This red patent Valentino bow peep-toe pump is one of the most lustworthy shoes I’ve seen in a while. I adore everything about it. The vibrant color, the heel and of course the cute big bow on the vamp. It’s a great mix between sexy (red color) and elegant (bow). If you opt for the original, it will set you back $745.

Paris Hilton “Senorita” d’Orsay Pumps

Thanks to Paris Hilton and her copycat designer team you can now buy a very cute and super similar Valentino bow pump version for a wholet lot less. Don’t they look awesome for knockoffs? I’m kind of in love with them (mostly because of the stolen design and most importantly – the price). The Valentino look-a-likes are available in a bunch of different colors & uppers and will cost you $90.

I’ve always been kind of obsessed with everything red and sparkly. I call it the Dorothy complex. What’s not to love about a glitzy heel in the epitome of all statement colors? You can wear the most boring outfit; throw on a pair of red pumps and voilà you’re the center of attention. These red crystal embellished pumps by Alexander McQueen are haunting me. As if I didn’t have enough shoe obsessions already! Truly tempting, but the price is more of a budget nightmare.

Gianni Bini “Marilyn” Studded Peep-Toe Pumps

Martinez Valero “Opal” Jeweled Peep-toe Pumps

Martinez Valero doesn’t have the biggest shoe portfolio, but oh boy does he deliver with the few styles he has in petto. Remember those gorgeous blue satin pumps à la Manolo Blahnik? Yeah, that was him and these gorgeous jeweled red peep-toe pumps are his newest creation. Not as delicate if compared to the real McQueen heels, but still a wonderful and budget-friendly alternative. There are only very few sizes left, but I just had to tell you about these gems.

It’s been a while since I last featured a Heel of the Day here on this blog. This is mainly due to me feeling very uninspired by the shoes that came out lately. However, when I first laid my eyes on these stunning red high heel sandals by Boutique 9 my obsession with shoes was fully restored. Even more so when I saw the $140 price tag! What, $140 only? To me these heels look very designer to me. Color me impressed. And just for the record: I’m so going to buy these red heels. Just not right now. My current budget still hasn’t fully recovered from the Christmas craze that happened last month.
