Lately, prints and colors have grown in popularity among fashion. With the current trend of mixing and matching prints, Charlotte Olympia presents these Priscilla Striped Suede Platforms. The combination of two similar hues exhibits colorblocking at its best. And while the lilac with magenta and sea green with aqua versions are more on the fun side and even candy-like, the black ones are irresistible and sophisticated. Although they are sold out, we have an affordable alternative below that can help you achieve a feminine and sophisticated look.

DV by Dolce Vita “Brilliant” Platform Pumps
I love these “Brilliant” pumps by DV by Dolce Vita. They seem so fun to wear, adding a nice touch of vibrancy to a monochromatic outfit and extra boldness when mixing with other prints. The colored versions would have to be my favorite since the climate is becoming warmer; therefore, I am trying to incorporate some color into my wardrobe. As an affordable alternative to the “Priscilla” Striped Platforms, not only do these pumps share a similar appearance they are also affordable with a price tag of $89!

Gianni Bini “Spikey” Slingback Sandals
Yes, can you believe it? This pair by Gianni Bini has exactly the same level of edginess and comes in an assortment of colors. How gorgeous are they? And the price is great, too, so if you absolutely love them you can buy one in black and another in eye-popping teal! They will just look fantastic with your new denim sundress. For the finishing touch, pick up one more rocker-inspired accessory, like a studded clutch or necklace, and you’ll be all set to find your garage-band king.

Beige pumps have become more prominent this past year, but sometimes the conservative design can look a bit drab and lackluster. On the other hand, take these Giuseppe Zanotti Suede Ankle Strap Pumps. They exude brilliance and are the ultimate example of how a nude pump should be designed. The cork platform allows one to wear them for more casual affairs, but at the same time can be styled for formal occasions. If you love this style, but the price is simply beyond your limit, then take a look at the look-a-like below!

These Steve Madden “OPTICALL” Suede Platforms mirror the pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti. Besides the slight color difference, they are one-for-one. In fact, all design elements are incorporated. The shape and structure are also very similar adding to the look-a-like factor. Most importantly, these are priced at $109.95 which definitely is a much more affordable price point.

Christian Louboutin‘s “Greissimo” pump is one of my favorite Loubies ever! It’s such a flattering and feminine style. Simple yet so intriguing. And although I’m not too much of a vintage girl who’s all fired up for everything 50s, I must admit I’m quite smitten by the red gingham pattern of this specific “Greissimo” version. It’s the perfect shoe for a summer picnic in the park, isn’t it? Well, maybe not really – who wants grass stains on their $875 Louboutins, right? But you get the idea…

Head Over Heels “Darling” Gingham Platform Peep-toe Pumps
So you probably wouldn’t want to wear these Head Over Heels gingham pumps in the grass either, but at £55 per pair the damage wouldn’t be economical suicide as it would be the case with the Louboutins. Actually forget that – these are way too cute to be ruined with grass stains either. Instead wear them out in the streets where they belong, pair them with skinny jeans or your favorite summer dress and you’re bound to get compliments left and right. I promise. Available in either red/white or black/white gingham.

I absolutely adore the entire B Brian Atwood collection for several reasons. I appreciate how the collection is true to the label yet is more of an affordable version, without straying from Brian Atwood’s vision. Though I may not be able to purchase this shoe until it hits the sale rack, if it ever does, I cannot fail to express my obsession with it. The colorblocking adds a pop of color juxtaposing a simple pump with a not-so-simple pattern. However, if you don’t want to wait until the next sale, which may never exist in fact, check out the alternative below.

Featured on a previous post, these Steve Madden pumps are making their reappearance except in colorblocking form. The shape is very reminiscent of these Giuseppe Zanotti heels, but the colorblocking is very B Brian Atwood. To mimic the B Brian Atwood look the ankle strap is removable, so you can mix and match the different style this pump boasts. The amalgam of design and inspiration behind this shoe creates an eclectic feel that will last long both regarding wearability and trends.
