Finally! I officially have found the perfect nude pump! Are you surprised it is by the man of our shoe dreams, Monsieur Christian Louboutin? I am not. The strange thing is that I’ve been aware of the Banana pumps for quite some time now, but it wasn’t until today before I realized they are the perfect shape. Ever since Kristen Stewart donned this black leather bustier dress by Elizabeth & James at a promotinal event in Madrid sometime last year I always wanted and hoped to find a steal version because I really, really liked the dress; the mix of sheer and leather, the side pockets (I love things that have pockets!), pretty much everything about it was enticing for me. But $545? Like seriously? Not gonna happen.

We’ve featured quite a number of Christian Louboutin shoes here on InTheirCloset and I think that’s because, other than being extremely popular with our readers, they are also what I would classify as “classic”. Louboutin pumps range from demure to over the top but almost all of them feel timeless. CL’s “Claudia” ankle-strap sandals are no exception. They are simply a new take on a tried and true shoe. Leave it to Christian Louboutin to take a simple, sweet ballerina flat and make it sexy—and subversive. There’s nothing about the Big Kiss Flat I don’t like, from the gleaming black patent, to the spiky silver studs. Well, truth be told, there are a couple tiny problems with these shoes: the typically high Louboutin price tag, and the fact that although they debuted in the Resort 2010 collection, they’re already sold out.

Did we mention wedges are BIG this year?
