Pale Pink

If there’s a shoe trend I noticed over the last couple of months, it’s sporty footwear with a feminine twist. Whether it be floral embroideries à la Gucci, shiny pearls à la Miu Miu, girly bows à la Puma or in this case a delicate blush pink velvet upper combined with wide satin ribbon laces, “sporty meets elegance” is one of Spring’s biggest trends! Luckily, you don’t need to spend a fortune on a pair of designer sneakers to indulge in this trend as there are various sneaker alternatives at almost any price point. And while the Steve Madden velvet sneakers aren’t terribly expensive to begin with (retail price is $79.95), we managed to find a just as gorgeous and super spot-on sneaker for under $30! Total steal alert!

Budget Look – Welcoming Spring in Pastel Pink

by Irina on February 28, 2017

Spring is officially around the corner and I can’t wait to ditch all of my winter clothes and finally pull out airy dresses and open-toed sandals from their winter hiatus. But since Spring isn’t in full bloom yet, we can’t probably do without a warm coat or jacket, but we can definitely welcome the new season by lightening up our wardrobe with pastel colors for example which is what I tried to do in this week’s budget look edition. Let me know if you like it!

With all the glitzy holiday parties just around the corner, how wonderful would it be to snag this red carpet look from non other than the lovely Charlize Theron? It’s the perfect modern ball gown with its sleek silhouette, deep V-neckline, and its absolutely perfect bow detail at the waist. The dress falls somewhere between goddess and princess and the accessories really pull it all together. The trick to looking polished instead of in costume is choosing the right shoes, bag, jewelry and headwear. Charlize nails this 1920’s style for the 21st century by pairing her stunning gown with minimal nude heels giving off a hint of shimmer, a beautiful antique looking brooch at the waist, and a gorgeous headband that gives a nod to the Gatsby-inspired outfit. Wondering how you can pull this off for your upcoming gala? Take a peek at some of the budget-friendly finds we’ve found below.
