Acne‘s “Pistol” ankle boot is pretty much the “It” shoe of the fashion blogosphere because it’s either in every style blogger’s wardrobe or at least on their wish list. Apparently the appeal is partly due to the fact that Acne makes great quality footwear and most bloggers say they were totally worth the investment. At first I didn’t really see why these simple boots were so highly coveted, but the more I look at them the more I start to like them.

Prada is known for redefining what fashion truly is by following the theme of subtle luxury. Miu Miu, from the Prada fashion house, merely follows the same concept but with an avant garde flair. I found that the entire Miu Miu Fall collection was very versatile and most importantly super wearable. The Suede Peep-Toe Flared Pumps exhibit an architectural sculpted heel which is bold yet minimalistic, therefore making it wearable for every occasion. I love the way Taylor Swift wore these pumps; it’s classy yet modern and the red lip adds a touch of boldness. Who do you think wore Miu Miu best?

Real vs. Steal – Burberry Prorsum Shearling-Lined Platform Ankle Boots

GWQEKJGQWDJKGB! Sorry, I think I just fainted from looking at these stunning booties by Burberry Prorsum. As you can see from the shearling-lining they’re from the current F/W 2010 collection (the one everyone is copying right now). Seriously, it can’t get much better than these if you think design meets function. They keep your feet warm and make you look like you just ran out of a Vogue photoshoot. Soooo good! And despite the whopping price of $1.095 these keep selling out. If I had the funds, I, too, would indulge and blow my budget by buying just these shoes and nothing else this fall.

Granted, it was only a matter of time until Steve Madden releases his own Burberry interpretation because he obviously can’t miss out on the biggest trend this fall. So ta-daaaaaa, here you go! The heel on the “BROADWY” ankle boots is sturdier compared to the stiletto-shape of the Burberry booties and they also don’t have the cozy shearling-lining, but aside from that they look very much the same. These are a little pricey at $149.95, but I have a feeling that these will fly off the shelves regardless.

Love this shoe for its Choo-like similarities (the buckle detail and opening at the ankle), and also for its daring differences (woven detail and trim). It’s also available in a delectable dark taupe that really showcases the lovely detail on these booties—you must click over to Office to see the 360-degree view. I’d even go so far as to say that I like the dark taupe better than the Choo booties. Now that speaks volumes, doesn’t it?

I’ve been in love with the Chloé brand for some time now. This may age me a bit, but I still have a few pieces that date back to the Stella McCartney era.
