So I’m a little obsessed with this woven leather wedge by Givenchy. I think it’ll be a great look to have in your wardrobe and it will go with just about anything! From your cut-off shorts to your long-fitted dress, this shoe is a must have! But I know it can’t be a must for everyone. Especially since the price tag is as high as $1.212! Hence keep scrolling down for a more wallet-friendly option.

MIA Limited Edition “Sambuca” Wedge Sandals

I really like the rust color of this MIA Limited Edition “Sambuca” Wedge. Such a summery color and really fun to wear. Especially if you want that pop of color! The shoe also comes in ginger and antique brown though as well. All three colors are great options to get the Givenchy look down. Priced at ~$111, I think this wedge is a smart choice.

Budget Look – Welcoming Spring!

by Irina on April 6, 2011

So my recent “Budget Looks” haven’t been really budget-friendly, but I will still say it is one as long as each item is considerably affordable on its own. Which I think is the case in this look. I’m just loving this beautiful floral sheath dress and while florals might not be too groundbreaking to wear in Spring, it’s a proven, timeless trend that’ll still have its place in fashion 50 years from now, so who cares if it’s an obvious outfit choice?

Miu Miu‘s Spring 2010 collection had cute written all over it. Remember all those exaggerated satin platform mary janes with adorable prints like cats, sparrows or flowers on it? I must admit it has taken me a while to warm up to this collection, but that’s often the case with me and Miuccia Prada’s designs. I like how she keeps trialling my aesthetics comfort zone.

Not Too Coy “Casanova-Z” Platform Sandals

UPDATE (12/18/2010): I’m pretty sure Not Too Coy‘s “Casanova-Z” platforms are just a rebranded version of Mojo Moxy’s “Catty” sandals because they’re dead-on identical with the same prints and colors except Not Too Coy has made an additional black satin version which I prefer over those floral prints.

Mojo Moxy “Catty” Ankle-Strap Sandals

OK, Mojo Moxy, we have to talk. Like seriously. How could you have gone so far to make an almost identical Miu Miu copy but then mess up the most important part of this shoe? The sparrow print. If you didn’t want to be an obvious copycat, why didn’t you just pick a different animal print instead of putting those ugly watercolor flowers on it? It totally ruins an otherwise perfectly perfect Miu Miu alternative. Shame on you! Do it right or don’t do it at all. Available in grey, brown and pink floral satin.

It really takes a lot these days to get me excited over a shoe. Yes, I still consider myself a shoe fanatic, but once you’re cruising the web 24/7 looking out for the newest trends and hottest knockoffs, it kind of gets repetitive after a while. Of Alexander McQueen shoes I will never grow tired of. At least I won’t if Sarah Burton, who’s now in charge as lead designer, will stay true to McQueen’s legacy. Just look at these stunning fold-over canvas boots and you’ll know what I mean. I don’t see boring shoes coming from that label anytime soon.

Wifky Studded Platform Ankle Boots

Wifky is one of those many Asian brands carried by YesStyle which is specialized in Asian fashion. Normally I refrain from posting any knockoffs from there because a) there are just too damn many of them and b) because the quality seems to be lacking sometimes. Not in this case though. If you head over to the product page you’ll see close-up shots of these McQueen doppelgängers which will show really amazing quality shoes. Go and see yourself!
