The always impeccable Kate Bosworth was recently spotted leaving a taping of Chelsea Lately in a beautifully bright apricot ensemble by Christopher Kane which she paired with black jeweled Chloé t-strap sandals. I loved this summery look so much I had to recreate Kate’s outfit on a more budget-friendly basis. What do you think?

This spring we are celebrating the return of color! Well, Spring fashion is always pretty colorful, but this year I feel like designers have come to really appreciate all those beautiful vibrant colors like acid pink, lime green or cobalt blue. Especially in the footwear department. I’ve seen so many new colorful spring styles lately, it’s amazing. Neon pink seems to be one of the most used, trending colors for shoes now. Below you can see some of my top picks. Which leads me to my question: would you wear hot pink shoes? I admit it’s not for the faint of heart, but if worn with black/white/neutrals and accessorized with other neon accessories (in moderation, of course, e.g. a pink watch or matching pink lip maybe), I think it would make a really great statement look. But what do you think?

Wow, when did I stop hating leopard print? Because, to be honest, I used to loathe it and the only associations I had with it were aging divas being clad in head-to-toe leopard or cheesy leopard print bedding coming straight out some vintage 70s porno. But this year Alexander Wang worked his magic on me. He created the “Alla” leopard wedge and what used to be hate changed into love and adoration.

Now $650 is not my typical shoe shopping budget, so I had to wait for someone to come along with a cheaper alternative. And finally, Nina heard my prayers. Well, not only mine but apparently also yours because the Alla leopard wedge was undoubtedly the most requested shoe on InTheirCloset. So here you go, girls! A wonderful Wang-inspired leopard wedge bootie. Now, run, don’t walk, some sizes are already sold out.

Alexis Bledel is one of my secret style crushes. She is not a red carpet regular, but whenever I see pictures of her attending an event she’s always looking radiant and absolutely flawless. A few days ago Alexis came out to an ELLE Fashion Event looking beautiful as always in a crisp white sleeveless blouse and a grey wool skirt which she set off with an oversized leopard clutch and hot red satin platforms by Charlotte Olympia. This look perfectly shows how important accessories are. If you’re wearing basic pieces make sure to add a few bold accessories to make your outfit pop.

It’s unbelievably hot & sunny here in Germany right now which of course is a good thing unless you have to work in that windless summer heat. That’s why I do everything I can to stay cool & hydrated by taking cold showers every couple hours and drinking lots of cold peppermint tea which led me to the idea to do a feature on the color mint since it’s such a great shade for the summer. Check out my mint must-haves to stay cool in the heat:
