This sporty sailor style by Tory Burch is really starting to grow on me. At first sight, these espadrille wedges seem to be simple but on the contrary they are anything but mundane. The two-tone colors – navy and white – create a distinct color palette and are very versatile. I love how both Kristen Bell and Megan Fox paired them with blue denim, really drawing attention to the wedge. There are infinite wardrobe possibilities, and any look can be easily achieved. From polished ladylike wear to boho chic, I think we can all agree that these are magnificent. And though they may be sold out, we have several almost identical matches below!

Tommy Hilfiger “Venice” Espadrille Wedges

Adding to the mix, are these Tommy Hilfiger “Venice” Espadrille Wedges. Though the two-tone concept is incorporated, the colors are out of order with emphasize on the white strip. Also, these wedges are available in blue with green for a more colorful and vibrant look. The sporty sailor style is still evident in both color versions, but I think that the blue with green has more of a casual appearance. Regardless of your preference, these are definitely up to par with the real deal and are quite affordable, too!

So I’m a little obsessed with this woven leather wedge by Givenchy. I think it’ll be a great look to have in your wardrobe and it will go with just about anything! From your cut-off shorts to your long-fitted dress, this shoe is a must have! But I know it can’t be a must for everyone. Especially since the price tag is as high as $1.212! I really like the rust color of this MIA Limited Edition “Sambuca” Wedge. Such a summery color and really fun to wear. Especially if you want that pop of color! The shoe also comes in ginger and antique brown though as well. All three colors are great options to get the Givenchy look down. Priced at ~$111, I think this wedge is a smart choice.

Real vs. Steal – Paloma Barceló Amaya Leather And Raffia Wedges

You know what bugs me big time? When I do my daily shoe research and start seeing shoes from different brands which have all the same design or concept. Almost always a sign that these are “inspired by“-shoes. Most of the time I am able to tell by whom these steal versions were inspired, but not this time. I stumbled upon 4 wedge styles, all different brands but with the same design and I just couldn’t tell the designer inspiration to these knockoffs. It was so frustrating! But life is fair – sometimes at least. Because yesterday I accidentally browsed the shoe section at theOutnet and voilà, there I spied them: the “Amaya” wedges by Paloma Barceló. Finally, the mystery was solved! No wonder I couldn’t tell the designer because up until yesterday I have never heard of Paloma Barceló. So I decided to educate myself and looked up the brand. Turns out it’s a Spanish footwear line founded in 1960 specializing in mostly espadrille styles. New Look Straw Strappy Wedges

Now what’s funny is that I purchased these very wedges by New Look prior to knowing that these were actually knockoffs. For me they are keepers. Quality is OK (not real leather, but not expecting much at this price). These look great with capris, shorts and all kinds of summer dresses, of course. Available in black, white and tan.

The wedge is such a fabulous invention. Elongates the legs? Check. Adds height? Check. Looks great with dresses, pants, skirts and shorts? Check. The only thing that would make them absolutely perfect is if they didn’t hurt the feet. Oh wait, they don’t! I could spend hours comfortably walking in so many of my wedges, which makes me wish they went with every ensemble. These Miu Miu ones would make a quick and smooth transition into my wardrobe, except for the fact that they’re sold out. Well, I supposed I can’t have it all.
