‘Tis the season of the trench. One of the classic essentials to every stylish girl’s wardrobe, this must-have is a safe return on investment. You can wear it on any occasion; from going out over a cocktail dress or with jeans and a feminine blouse on a hot date. It will take you from the airport to an elegant dinner, and you’ll look just as chic. For a piece like this, it’s really important to look for quality. And quality is something the iconic Burberry Trench has, but spending over a thousand dollars isn’t the only way to invest. Take a look at our other option below.

Lucky for those of us who are on a budget, great quality can be found at an awesome price – if you know where to look. This gorgeously tailored trench by Mango, pays homage to the original silhouette and close attention to detail with its tortoiseshell buttons and flattering seams (in all the right places). So who doesn’t love a bit of glitter every now and then? Glitter has become a growing trend, from shoes completely adorned with glitter to small yet eye-popping accents. And what better to way to incorporate the glitz and glam than this glitter-covered leather belt by Miu Miu. The rich gold color speaks of luxury yet it is not overpowering. However, this belt is $275 and currently sold out. For a similar take on this trend, check out the alternative below.

Oh how I loved Olivia Wilde‘s dramatic black floral lace gown by Dolce & Gabbana which she recently wore to the premiere of Cowboys & Aliens. I didn’t think I’d be able to compose a look 4 less of her look, but then I stumbled upon this gorgeous gown by MANGO and though it’d be a great alternative to Olivia’s dress. Shhh, don’t tell anyone, but I think I even prefer the MANGO dress which unfortunately seems not to be available in the US e-shop yet though I can confirm that you can buy it at the UK & European e-shops.

I always hoped that part of Olivia Palermo‘s impeccable style would be the fact that she has access to the finest designer clothes and that these account for half the magic of her outfits. But now that I’ve seen her looking just as fabulous in head-to-toe Mango as if she was wearing some premium designer I think we all have to accept that this girl has style in spades; no matter the brand of her clothes. Sigh! Check out our take on Olivia’s bow blouse and camel pants look below and let us know what you think of it.

Fall has arrived. We waved summer goodbye. It’s time to pack all the sundresses in the back of the attic and get out the boots, coats and cozy winter scarves. Weather-wise it’s not the greatest season, but fashion-wise it’s a total win. One word: Layering! I decided to sum up all the fall trends that I’ve noticed on the F/W 2010 runways and put them together in one outfit. Tell me what you think of it!
