I find it hard at times to pull off a cream lace dress or really any lace for that matter, but Ashley Tisdale is exemplary of how this trend should be worn. I admire the crochet details at the cuffs and the hem as it adds a dose of ornamentation to this rather simple dress by For Love & Lemons. The Louboutin leopard print booties are such a chic addition, but are also quite costly. Check out our take on more of a budget-friendly look below.

I haven’t seen Anne Hathaway on the red carpet for a while, but when she attended the Love & Other Drugs premiere at the AFI Fest 2010 Anne made quite the comeback in a white lace-panelled Antonio Berardi pencil dress which she paired with nude patent Sergio Rossi slingback pumps. I’ve been looking at this picture of model Nika Lauraitis posing in front of the Barbadian sun for the last few days and I must say I’m slightly obsessed. The editorial called Sweet Reverie (shot by Max Abadian) has been printed in Flare’s May issue and it is outstandingly beautiful, relaxed, dreamy. Definitely one of my favorite editorials of 2010. I’ve been especially smitten with Nika’s delicate white lace dress (hers is by Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2010) which she wears over a black corset here. White lace is undoubtedly tricky to pull off for grown women, but I think I found a couple of great and budget-friendly options which could look – if accessorized right – almost quite as eye-catching as D&G’s lacy number.
