Finally! I officially have found the perfect nude pump! Are you surprised it is by the man of our shoe dreams, Monsieur Christian Louboutin? I am not. The strange thing is that I’ve been aware of the Banana pumps for quite some time now, but it wasn’t until today before I realized they are the perfect shape. And don’t get me started on the delicious patent nude color. You know you’ve found your perfect shoe when there isn’t one single thing you’d want to change about them… Wait! Oops, sorry, actually there are TWO things I’d change about these darlings here: a) the availability (they’re sold out) and b) the price ($800 isn’t exactly my kind of shoe shopping budget).

ALDO “Withey” Peep-toe Pumps
If Louboutins are out of your price range as well, opt for these equally amazing ALDO pumps instead. You might recognize these from our recent Nude Shoes Under $100 post. The only difference is the hidden platform; otheriwse it’s all there: the delicious nude patent leather, the perfectly shaped arch, the sky-high stiletto heel… and they’re only $80, not $800. Also available in black patent.

Liliana “Cord” Platform Pumps
UPDATE (08/25/2010): Woot woot! MsHeel.com just received a brand new shipment of the super popular Liliana “Cord” pumps. These nude pumps sold out in less than 3 days last time, so you better hurry & order ASAP. Use our exclusive coupon code “INTHEIRCLOSET” to get 10% OFF!
In case you’re not feeling like spending $80 on shoes right now, but still crave a new pair of heels, consider these gorgeous nude pumps by Liliana. They look a lot like the ALDO version, just a tad darker, and again have a hidden platform. I absolutely love these – especially the killer price of $28.95! New shoes for under $30, how great is that? Even less ($26.05 to be exact) if you use the coupon code above. You better be quick to order because these will go fast!

Don’t get me wrong: I LOVE ankle boots and all, but over the last 2 years or so I’ve become kind of sick seeing them worn with everything. Especially on the red carpet where young starlets seem to think it’s so super cool and edgy to pair chunky booties with a white frilly lace dress. Yeah, no one’s done THAT before, try-hard. Most of those girls fail when it comes to carrying off such a contrasting look.
That’s why I really appreciate when shoe designers take a different direction with the ankle bootie trend and make them look less bulky and less in-your-face. The Jimmy Choos below are a perfect example for such booties. They’re modern yet subtle, but still feminine.

Liliana “Bandino” Studded Ankle Booties
These booties by Liliana are quite obviously a knockoff of the Jimmy Choos shown above. Don’t they look pretty awesome for $50 shoes? I think I even prefer these over the real Choos because of their rounder shape. Let alone the fact that of course I very much prefer their price which is way closer to my budget than the Choos. Another good thing: these booties also come in grey and purple (faux) suede.

Liliana “Bandino” Studded Ankle Booties
($49.90, SOLD OUT)
Luichiny “Passa Fy” Booties
While these studded booties by Luichiny might not be as close to the originals as the Liliana ones, I think it’s still very easy to see the inspiration behind these. They don’t have the eyelets and the upper material is faux leather instead of suede, but everything else screams “JIMMY CHOO“! Also available in brown.

OMG! I’m out of words. If I had to describe these gold strass stiletto pumps by Christian Louboutin with 3 words, mine would be SEX – DIVA & DANGER. No need for a foreplay if you’re wearing these heels. I probably could walk (or rather stand) in these a mere 5 minutes at most, but it’d be sooo worth it. Too bad they’re out of my budget. Even though I don’t know the exact retail price I’m pretty sure it’s somewhere around $2.000. Bummer!

Charlotte Russe Glitter Pumps
If you love Christian Louboutin’s crystal encrusted Pigalle stilettos just as much, but don’t have a fortune to spend either, why not opt for these very budget-friendly glitter pumps by Charlotte Russe instead? They would look lovely with a red or black dress (see Fergie above), don’t you think? Sooo gorgeous. But don’t be fooled by their cuteness; the arch on these is pretty high and the stiletto heel will bend your feet towards the sky, so always have a second pair of comfy flats or flat heeled shoes on hand. Available in either gold, silver or black.

I discovered Ash only last December when I was looking for the perfect knockoff of a pair of Martin Margiela sandals that I had been in love with for the better part of a year. Aptly enough, it was InTheirCloset that eventually led me to the Holy Land, so to speak. Ash shoes are really well made and definitely have a strong point of view. I love these “Lovely” Studded Wedge Sandals, for instance. I will say that they look more fall than summer to me, but there are already so many little outfits dancing in my head at the mere thought of owning these. The rich black is hot, as is the harness and studding. Here’s the thing, though: while Ash shoes are priced rather “reasonably”, they are still out of my sad little budget.

N.Y.L.A. “Placido” Stud Wedges
If you, too, have a mopey little budget, but love the look of the Ash wedge sandals, we may have found just the shoe. These “Placido” wedges by N.Y.L.A. look basically identical to the originals with a slightly less exaggerated heel. I’m fairly certain that once on no one would be able to tell the difference. I know there’s not a drastic difference in price, but just consider all the things you could buy with that extra hundo! Available in black and tan.

Now here’s a slightly different take on the studded wedge, albeit an equally as ferocious one. These “Pass Ive” wedges by Luichiny boast a super high wedge and a cord bottom and we still have the awesome harness and the studs. Even more affordable than then the N.Y.L.A’s, these are also available in a ton of colors (and by ton I mean 4: black, grey, camel & cognac suede). Even better deal? Use the code mentioned above and save yourself another $15!

I love a delicate shoe with a rocker edge. It sort of epitomizes my favorite style – soft and hard. I think L.A.M.B. must have designed their “Ricki” ankle cuff sandal with me in mind. I love the wide but delicate straps across the toes and bridge, and then that ankle cuff with grommets! These would look divine paired with a full mini skirt or flouncy, girly dress. Happily, these are on sale for $195 (original retail price of $355!), but only very limited sizes are available.

Liliana “Porter” Ankle Strap Sandals
If an almost $200 price tag is still a little hard to swallow, or if your size is just simply not available, take a look at these “Porter” ankle strap sandals by Liliana. For a mere $31, these aren’t real leather, but they have that awesome cuff and high heel. They also come in a plethora of colors: black, pewter, fuchsia, white and red.

Well, I think it’s pretty safe to say that zippers are in. We’ve written several posts here that have featured decorative zippers (mostly on shoes) and more pop up every day. Balmain seems to be leading this trend and we can see why. Giuseppe Zanotti who designs the shoes for Balmain is a master. He manages to make zippers and black suede look polished and even elegant. What I really love about these embellished suede pumps is that the shape is wholly classic but the zippers add an industrial/rock edge. That means these shoes will dress up your jeans but dress down your sweet skirt. Unfortunately they’re astronomically expensive, and sold-out to boot.

Balmain Zip-Embellished Suede Pumps

Liliana Frog-1 Zip Platform Pumps
These Liliana pumps are a great alternative to the Balmains. They’re not suede, of course, but the beautiful zipper-trim is there, as is that sexy 4-inch heel. Falling somewhere between a pump and a bootie, I picture these with a multitude of outfits. Oh, and did we mention they’re only $37.95? If you’ve had your fill of black pumps, these are also available in chestnut and grey.

New Look Zip Strap Courts
Now there’s less zipper action going on with this version but I think there’s something so pretty and clean about the one cross over on the bridge of the foot. The toe is very reminiscent of the Balmain heels (looks like you’ll be getting some toe-cleavage!) and the faux suede looks very rich. Very Rock and Roll at a non-rock price. These also come in a very pretty, soft grey color. At £25.00 (that’s about $33) you might as well get both! New Look is a UK retailer but I checked out their shipping policy and it’s pretty reasonable (around $10).

I think my heart skipped a beat when I first saw these. Anyone that knows me know that my two favorite colors are gray and black; gray and black together? Perfection. I love the luxe meets rocker feel of these Rock & Republic pumps. The cutouts are like jewelry for your feet and the platform means that 4-inch plus heel is actually manageable. At around $250, these aren’t the most expensive shoes we’ve featured, however I don’t know about you but I can’t really drop 1/4 of a grand on a pair of shoes every time I fall in love (it happens often).

Liliana “Adlas” Platform Sandals
How happy was I when we found this Liliana knock-off version of the R&R pumps? They’re not 100% identical but they’re pretty darn close and did you happen to catch the price tag on these? At $27.50 you really can’t afford NOT to pick these up.

After running this blog for more than a year I noticed I haven’t featured anything Versace before which I found quite odd. I wondered why. Could it be because Versace is hard to replicate on a low budget scale since most of their clothes require luxe fabrics and superb craftmanship to look the way they do?
Anyway, today I stumbled upon my first Versace knockoff find. I’m sooo in love with the quilted bow pumps below it’s almost painful. Why painful you ask? Because there’s no way I can make them mine at THAT price and they ARE already on sale (original retail price is $1.055).

Versace Quilted Bow Pumps

Liliana “Freely” Peep-toe Bow Pumps
These platform pumps by Liliana are a great and affordable alternative to the Versace pumps since they look pretty much alike. The Liliana pumps have the same cute bow on the vamp as well as the same strap detailing and shape minus the quilted suede which I find a bit sad. Also available in black, but be quick to order because a few sizes are already gone.

If I had to choose my favorite Louboutin of 2009 I think the “Nitoinimoi” bandage ankle bootie below would definitely be up for consideration. There are not enough words to describe how much I love these. However, there is also not enough cash in my wallet to buy these as well.

UPDATE (11/07/2009): Found another great Christian Louboutin “Nitoinimoi” knockoff at FlyJane.
I’m so glad I stumbled upon these babies today. Don’t they look awesome? They come pretty close to the Louboutins (except that the upper material is faux suede here), but the square toe and the signature red sole is making me fall in love with these edgy booties. I know these boots by Boutique 9 are more of an “inspired-by” kind rather than a complete rip-off, but I still think they fit the bill for a great Louboutin alternative. I’m also sort of in love with them even though they are not a steal at $229. Also available in brown.
