I’ve heard a white shoe is hard to love. Be it the hard-to-clean color, the bridal connotation, or the invariable summer feel, people seem to shy away from this color. Well, I for one am all for white shoes. I have a pair of white snakeskin pumps that I wear pretty much every chance I get. Another pair I’d love to have in my shoe closet is Sigerson Morrison‘s Ankle Tie Wedge Sandals. The wedge is the perfect height, the bow is delightfully girly and the white is pure. They also have a touch of retro in them which I am a total sucker for.

Dollhouse “Tali” Wedge Sandals
Let me guess. You think the Sigerson Morrison Ankle Tie sandals are cute but not $332.50 cute (retail price $475!). Well, I don’t blame you. That’s a hard figure to swallow. Luckily, Dollhouse has come out with a great alternative. Their “Tali” wedge sandals in white look identical to our SMs, with the addition of a funky stacked wedge heel. They also come in a myriad of other colors which is sure to please you color-craving cooks. For a mere $41.95, why not taste the rainbow?

I think we’ve established that we’re all fans of shoes here. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, how many of us drool a little at the sight of that elusive red sole? Well… elusive… I should really speak for myself in this instance. Christian Louboutin shoes are way out of my budget but I still long for them from afar. His “Greissimo” pumps may just be my personal siren song. They are so adorably retro and feminine and so, so, SO… out of my price range.

HOT DEAL: Use coupon code “AMIPROMO20” to get 20% OFF your entire order!
Man, AmiClubwear has really been churning out the awesome knockoffs lately. Up to bat are these striped peep-toe pumps by Qupid. I love how nautically inspired these platforms are, but how artistically similar they are to the outrageously priced Louboutins. At $24.99 these are an incredible steal. We can make that deal even sweeter though. Use the code above and save yourself another 20%. That brings the price down to $19.99 – I mean, they are practically giving these away! If the strong nautical vibe isn’t your thing, these are also available in black striped and red striped.

Since we got our first glimpse at Audrina Patridge on The Hills, her style has been trendy with an edgier/rocker influence. While filming a recent episode of the reality show in Los Angeles, Audrina gave her signature look a rest and put on something light, airy, summery and overall very feminine. Audrina’s silk dress is by Amanda Uprichard and the great thing about this designer is that if there’s a demand, she will work hard to meet it. Audrina’s dress sold out quickly, but has been re-cut so no one misses out.

Are you feeling the power of the wedge this season? I know I am. Suddenly, I am sick for a Tick, or any super-high, wild wedge—and thank the shoe gods, there are puh-lenty around to be had. While this pair from Donna Karan is a little more demure, they are glorious, aren’t they? Just the right amount of height-boosting chunkiness and not-quite-so-sweet studification. Meow.

HOT DEAL: Save $30 on your $150 order of select statement-making women’s styles. Enter code “STATMNT2” at checkout.
On May 7, 2010, we named these Sergio Zelcer wedges Heel of the Day. Little did we know then that they are actually a fab alternative to DK’s higher-priced Studded Wedge Sandals. Now that I’m really looking at them, I think they might be the most versatile pair I’ve seen for summer. They’ll take you to a summer BBQ in a sundress, to the office with a cotton skirt suit, and to the mall in cutoffs and a blousy tank. So what are you waiting for? It’s June already. Get your summer on, and have a “Delicious” one! Available in black, bone & brown.

Jimmy Choo can do no wrong, so let’s discuss everything that is right about these golden suede wedges. The straw wedge and suede straps are an awesome contrast to one another, both in color and texture. The knotted detail of the front of the shoe is extremely flatterring on toes of all shapes and sizes because it gives just a peep show (don’t pretend like you don’t know toes come in all different varieties). The ankle strap lends this otherwise casual shoe a bit of glam and sophistication. A perfect 10 for Jimmy Choo, but really did anyone expect less?

Steve Madden “GLISTENN” Wedge Espadrilles
UPDATE (05/23/2010): These Steve Madden wedge espadrilles look quite like the Jimmy Choos except these have an extra bow on the vamp. Available in 4 colors.

Office “WHAT A WAY TO GO” Wedges
These great alternative wedges by Office are not an exact match, but they accomplish everything we loved about the originals. Straw wedge and suede-esque straps? Check. Knotted detail? Check. Ankle strap? Check. Well, ladies (and gents if you’re out there) this steal has been approved for purchase!

Ever seen a shoe being described as rock ‘n roll meets summer? The combination does sound a bit odd, but I think this perfectly sums up these lovely studded wedges by Sergio Zelcer. The gold studs on the platform will play up your inner rockstar while the knotted front and the wedge make these beauties ideal candidates for wearing in the summer. Don’t think black shoes will work with your summer wardrobe? They also come in bone and buttery brown as well.

A trench coat is one of those items of clothing that every woman should have in her closet. Various permutations appear on the fashion scene each season and it just never seems to go out of style. I think Burberry Prorsum put out one of the best trenches of the season in their Spring 2010 show. The coat is undeniably sweet with those draped/knotted shoulders and girly color (they call it “Frosted Pink”), but the black lacquered buttons keep it a little bit edgy. Sadly, at $2,595, I think we can safely say I’ll never own this coat.

Lipsy Ruched Shoulder Mac
I have to tell you, I’m sort-of OK with not owning the Burberry trench above if it means that I can nab this Lipsy knock-off which is available at ASOS. Literally thousands of dollars cheaper but with that same lovely charm, this coat is sure to win you tons of compliments. Lipsy really nailed those knotted shoulders and I think I may actually like their pinkish/peach color just a smidge more than Burberry’s cupcake-pink. I picture this being worn with a fluttery, chiffon mini skirt and black leather rocker heels.
