These amazing platforms are from Charles Anastase‘s S/S 2009 show but I guess I’m a little behind the curve because I only just discovered them. While I can’t imagine anyone actually wearing them (how did the models not break their necks strutting down the runway?) I do find them aesthetically pleasing. If only that heel was just a little shorter and I think we would have ourselves a winner.

I was SO happy to find these Jessica Simpson “Dany” platform sandals. They are everything the originals are but in a much more digestible form. A slightly lower heel makes them more wearable and a $98 price tag means you don’t have to think twice about bringing these bad-boys home.

Real vs. Steal – Christian Louboutin Straratata Suede Sandals

Talk about colorblocking at its best, these “Straratata” Suede Sandals by Christian Louboutin are a fusion of vibrancy meets contemporary wear. This is a definite statement shoe, and both the strappy-ness and many colors are contributing elements of the extravagant and bold appearance. Though I love Christian Louboutin and his creative design, the price tag is simply way out of my budget. Not to mention, these sandals are already sold out, which is unsurprising as many celebrities have been sporting them. In spite of this, take a look at the steal below.

Jessica Simpson “Evangela” Criss Cross Sandals

Jessica Simpson is one of the many celebrity designers which I have grew to praise mainly because I really do admire her shoe collection, and in addition I am fond of the Louboutin inspiration behind the design of the “Evangela” Criss Cross Sandals. Though it is arguable that her personal creativity is lackluster, I truly don’t mind as she brings the Louboutin feel minus the Louboutin price.

One of the most distinctive shoe styles of 2011 have been Giuseppe Zanotti‘s extreme wedge styles for me. I’ve loved them the second I saw them online. They do scare me a lil’ bit with their crazy 6 inch heel, but I still want them in my closet so badly. Not convinced yet? While these Carvela beauties are not available in turquoise (boo!), they do come in yet another showstopping color though – red! Everything about these wedges is spot-on, they’re almost 1:1 identical with the Giuseppe Zanotti wedges. Also available in black suede and gold glitter.
