Jean-Michel Cazabat

I’m a big fan of Stella McCartney! Very much like with Prada and Miu Miu I might not approve of EVERYTHING that is shown on the runways, but when I find myself liking something from these designers chances are high I really, really LOVE it. Case in point: Stella’s “Maia” cork wedge from last year. Despite the remote resemblance of Birkenstock shoes I am still highly attracted to this wedge. Also, how genius is the pink lining? It’s small details like these that can turn a good shoe into a truly great one. What’s not so great about it? Oh yeah, I forgot… the steep price of $735. Also the fact that it’s sold out.

BCBgeneration “Crespo” Wedge Sandals

Thanks to BCBGeneration, we can now rock our own Stella McCartney wedges for a fraction of the price. Their “Crespo” wedge sandal is an almost identical copy of the “Maia” even though I wish it had the same hot pink lining as the original. But at $71.99 I am not one to complain. Available in gold, stone, black/white and light peach (shown below).

Prada is known for redefining what fashion truly is by following the theme of subtle luxury. Miu Miu, from the Prada fashion house, merely follows the same concept but with an avant garde flair. I found that the entire Miu Miu Fall collection was very versatile and most importantly super wearable. The Suede Peep-Toe Flared Pumps exhibit an architectural sculpted heel which is bold yet minimalistic, therefore making it wearable for every occasion. I love the way Taylor Swift wore these pumps; it’s classy yet modern and the red lip adds a touch of boldness. Who do you think wore Miu Miu best?

Jean-Michel Cazabat “Shala” Platform Pumps

For one who is looking to indulge in the flared heel style, these Jean-Michel Cazabat “Shala” Platform Pumps are a remarkable look-a-like. These are chicly refined, and are essentially for any woman’s taste. It is very hard to distinguish the difference between these and the pumps by Miu Miu. Even by looking at the miniscule details, for one I can’t tell the difference. Aside from flaunting a similar style, these are much more affordable. Available in black or light grey suede.

KG “Caggie” Platform Peep-toe Pumps

Like the look-a-like above, these KG by Kurt Geiger “Caggie” Peep-toe Pumps also follow a similar concept. As a more affordable alternative, these are definitely less costly than the Miu Miu pumps as well as the Jean-Michel Cazabat pumps above. Available in black suede or nude leather.

Personally, I think Valentine’s Day is stupid and I try to ignore it as much as I can. On the other side though, any excuse that lets me do some imaginary outfit shopping at Shopbop is more than welcome, so below you can see my favorite picks. Let me know what you think of V-Day, whether you celebrate it or not and most importantly, what you’re going to wear to impress your Valentine (assuming you do celebrate this day, of course).
