A good friend of mine recently bought a Mulberry Bayswater (a gift to herself on her birthday) and for a week straight everyone oohed and ahhed over it at the office. It is a spectacular bag, to be sure, but I think this new Mulberry takes the cake: the Alexa – a slouchier, more casual version of the Bayswater named after British style export Alexa Chung who is a true devotee of the Mulberry brand. If you haven’t heard tell of this bag yet, you will. Speculated to be the “It” bag of the moment, the Alexa sold out instantaneously on NET-A-PORTER after being added last week. Restocks are supposed to follow soon, but even still, this beautiful creation is way out of my sad little budget.

Celebrity Look 4 Less – Zoe Saldana’s EXPRESS Striped Dress

I am so digging Zoe Saldana‘s style. Seriously, Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller and all the likes leave me cold whereas I love keeping up with Zoe’s fashion choices both on and off the red carpet. Just take this casual ensemble for example. I’ve always been huge on stripes and seeing how Zoe paired her super affordable mini dress by EXPRESS with tan accessories and cool Ray-Ban aviators just makes me fall in love with her style yet once again. Celebrity Look 4 Less – Gwen Stefani’s Leather Jacket & L.A.M.B. Peep-toe Booties

I think Gwen Stefani and Dita Von Teese are the only ladies who can wear crimson red lips while grocery shopping and not look overdressed while doing so. I am always super smitten with Gwen’s street style. Here she’s wearing black open toe ankle boots from her upcoming L.A.M.B. Fall 2011 collection, but since these won’t be available for purchase for a few more months I decided to do a look 4 less on Gwen’s casual yet super stylish outfit.

Budget Look – Cobalt Blue, Gold & Red Bows

First let me start off by saying that I really, really love cobalt blue. It’s such a flattering, deep and intense color. Another thing I also really, really love are shift dresses. For me, they’re infinitely feminine and elegant. Upon browsing NORDSTROM’s newest arrivals today I discovered this cobalt blue shift dress and it was all over for me. I was obsessed. So much that I had to create a budget look around this dress. I know the red bowed accessories might be a little too matchy-matchy for some of you, but I find it kind of charming in this case. Let me know what you think.
