Flats

So I think I’ve already mentioned that flat shoes rarely catch my attention. I do wear them, but only if I must and I always try to find a way to wear my high heels out instead. Now if I had these Giuseppe Zanotti leopard print silk ankle bow sandals you bet I’d so change my mind about not wanting to wear flat shoes. I love how Zanotti combines the wild leopard print with girly details such as the giant side darling bow. But $695? If I were to ever spend that much on shoes it’d have to be a high heel, so no Zanotti flats for me here.

Bamboo Bloom-33 Leopard Satin Side Bow Flat Sandals

If you love the leopard ankle bow look but don’t want to spend a fortune, try these super cute & affordable Bamboo sandals instead. The bow is smaller, but this also means it won’t be dragging dust from the floor/streets, so that’s a good thing, right? For $23 I’d be willing to blind-buy. Some sizes are already sold out though, so you better order fast if you love these lovelies as much as I do.

UPDATE: This post has been updated on May 17, 2011. Scroll down to see the new add.

Leave it to Christian Louboutin to take a simple, sweet ballerina flat and make it sexy—and subversive. There’s nothing about the Big Kiss Flat I don’t like, from the gleaming black patent, to the spiky silver studs. Well, truth be told, there are a couple tiny problems with these shoes: the typically high Louboutin price tag, and the fact that although they debuted in the Resort 2010 collection, they’re already sold out.

UPDATE (05/17/2011): Here’s another though not quite as spot-on Louboutin spiked alternative coming from Gianni Bini. Available in black or nude.

Candela Studded Punk Flats

UPDATE (06/14/2010): I also just came across these fabulous though somewhat pricey Big Kiss look-a-likes by Candela. Available in either black or white leather.

UPDATE (06/14/2010): Found one more subdued Big Kiss knockoff by daniblack.

Steve Madden “KAISAR” Studded Flats

Since Louboutin’s Big Kiss is not only pricey, but just about impossible to acquire, you can get your good girl/bad girl fill with the Steve Madden “Kaisar” studded flat. It’s not quite as spiky, but lots of gleaming studs still make this flat a stand-out.

Charles David “Rad” Studded Flats

Another option is the studded, shiny snake “Rad” Flat by Charles David. Like the Big Kiss, the “Rad” boasts high-gloss shine, and while there are less studs, the snakeskin adds oomph. Hiss…

Pour la Victoire “Juliet” Studded Flats

And here is yet another alternative: “Juliet” by Pour la Victoire. Not quite as aggressive in appearance (and probably superbly comfy) these flats could very well replace the flip-flips in your closet.

Leopard Print Shoes – Volume 3

by Irina on April 12, 2011

I’m so infatuated with the leopard print trend, it’s getting ridiculous. This is the third time I am writing about leopard print shoes, but all these great styles keep coming and coming and I would be a bad, bad fashion blogger not to let you know about them. So here you have it: a new batch of gorgeous leopard shoes. Let me know what you think. Have you already bought some leopard shoes or do you rather skip this wild trend?

Dare To Wear – Neon Pink Shoes

by Irina on April 9, 2011

This spring we are celebrating the return of color! Well, Spring fashion is always pretty colorful, but this year I feel like designers have come to really appreciate all those beautiful vibrant colors like acid pink, lime green or cobalt blue. Especially in the footwear department. I’ve seen so many new colorful spring styles lately, it’s amazing. Neon pink seems to be one of the most used, trending colors for shoes now. Below you can see some of my top picks. Which leads me to my question: would you wear hot pink shoes? I admit it’s not for the faint of heart, but if worn with black/white/neutrals and accessorized with other neon accessories (in moderation, of course, e.g. a pink watch or matching pink lip maybe), I think it would make a really great statement look. But what do you think?

I am really excited about this Real vs. Stea! Who wouldn’t love this Giuseppe Zanotti Chain Link Thong Sandal? I’m all about chains around my neck, wrists, AND shoes! But, I’m not all about the price! At $595 and sold out (not surprising), below you will find an amazing steal version of the Zanottis.

This Enzo Angiolini look-a-like is perfect! I am really in love with this steal and I am also a fan of the small wedge the flat sandal offers. Looks really comfortable, too! Priced at $99.99 that’s a bargain you shouldn’t pass up on! Also available in gold, pewter and bronze.
