Fergie

Here we have yet another posterbook example of fabulous airport fashion. Look how Fergie is rocking her flaming red REISS blazer (currently on sale; hint, hint!) with white skinnies by Joe’s Jeans and a floral print blouse, also by REISS, underneath. She could’ve done better in the shoes + bag department, but overall I like this look a lot on Fergie!

I’ve been really loving Prada shoes as of late. Their footwear range for Spring and Fall 2009 was truly exceptional and just when I was starting to understand the appeal of Prada I was beyond disappointed to see lucite shoes return from fashion hell onto Prada’s Spring 2010 runway. Damn you, Miuccia Prada! I’m on a fashion rollercoaster with your fashion house. I do appreciate these studded t-strap sandals however also known as Ashley Olsen‘s studded obsession.

XOXO “Lola” T-Strap Sandals

UPDATE (04/04/2010): Stumbled upon another Prada knockoff by XOXO. The hardware is silver instead of gold and it’s missing a few details, but overall it’s a great steal version. Available in black, black patent, grey and natural.

If you can’t afford the real deal, Michael Antonio has an amazingly identical alternative for a lot, lot less. His t-strap sandals look just like the studded Prada heels except these come without the steep designer price. Available in either black, red or purple.

I have to stay that I don’t usually keep up with Ashley Greene’s style, but she always manages to look wonderful at red carpet events. Nonetheless, I love how she paired her Charlotte Olympia Dolly Python Platform Pumps with an LWD. The Dolly Python Platforms definitely add height due to the sky-high heel and the nude python material elongates her legs even more. I am a huge fan of Charlotte Olympia shoes and these are not an exception. Though the price tag is way out of my budget and the shoes sold out by now, the alternative below does not disappoint.

Fergie “Olivia” Platform Pumps

The Fergie Fergie “Olivia” pumps have a snake embossed print and capture the same idea of primal yet classical like the Charlotte Olympia platforms. These pumps are a great alternative without breaking our wallets. On top of that, I really love all of the colors that they come in such as taupe and black python-stamped leather as well as tan, teal and black leather.

Leopard print is HUGE this season. I know you’ve probably heard this left and right already, but can I just say it one more time, please? Because really it is huuuuuge. Don’t believe me? Look at any given fall/winter collection lookbook, fashion mag/blog or window display. Animal print, more precisely leopard and cheetah print are taking over our closets in 2010/2011. Summer was already full of it and Fall is approaching just as strong with leopard print shoes, accessories, dresses & coats everywhere. Charlotte Olympia‘s Alice low-cut leopard lace-up booties are a perfect example why I am totally digging this trend. The print stands out yet the shoe is classic and elegant. No tackiness or any reminiscence of cheap perfume, spray tan and teased hair. That’s exactly how I love me some leopard print: wild but classy. And if you don’t take any fashion advice from me, check out the world’s most stylish socialite, Olivia Palermo, rocking her Alice leopard booties to pieces.

Fergie “Gatsby Too” Oxford Leopard Booties

UPDATE (09/22/2011): I wouldn’t necessarily call these leopard print booties by Fergie knockoffs, but they will definitely give you the same look of the Charlotte Olympia heels.

UPDATE (06/25/2011): Found another Charlotte Olympia leopard bootie alternative by Sam Edelman. I wouldn’t say these are a dupe, but still close enough to evoke the same look and feel.

ZARA Leopard Ankle Boots

UPDATE (05/21/2011): Can I get a high-pitched “OMG!” for these awesome Alice look-a-likes by ZARA, please? Aren’t they just amazingly identical to the originals? Hate to disappoint you here, but these are not available to buy… yet. I found these on the US version of ZARA, but there’s no option to order them right now, so I guess it’s a preview of what’s soon to come. I’m checking the site daily though anxiously awaiting the arrival of these wild beauties. Totally going to buy them!

Pour La Victoire “Blake” Booties

I know our steal versions are usually more spot-on and less of the inspired by-kind, but even though these ankle boots by Pour La Victoire are cheetah print and lack the black heel or the lace-up detail, I still think they’re a great alternative to the Charlotte Olympia booties as they have the same look and feel. Sure, they aren’t an impulse buy at $289.95, but if you consider how you can jazz up even the most boring outfit with these darlings the cost-per-wear might well be worth it if you dare to wear this trend.

Don’t you just love Prada? Well, I know I do. And I really do love these Prada Stitched Shined Leather Platform Sandals, too! I like the design, the espadrille, and the thick heel! Yet, there is one thing I am NOT in love with and it’s the price! $716 and this is supposed to be a deal on Bluefly? Whoa, I think we can do a little better than that!

Fergie “Gabriel” Platform Sandals

Now this is what I’m talking about! Looks almost identical to the Pradas. The only thing that I’m slightly disappointed with is the heel. But other than that I love this Fergie “Gabriel” Platform Sandal and I love the price! At $99.95 this shoe won’t kill your budget! Available in tan, yellow and black.
