So today I had a dentist appointment and figured since it’s only a short 3-minute walk over there I could do without my gloves and my wool cap (OK, truth be told; I was in a hurry and couldn’t find them… again). But as soon as I stepped out I regretted my decision almost instantly. OMG, it was so darn cold. The harsh wind was freezing my fingers to my face and even though it was only a very short distance it felt like a had to walk for hours to get to the dentist. An absolutely torturous experience! All I could think of is to get home asap and crawl under my cozy blanket with a hot chocolate. Brrrr!
And the moral of my story of weather-inappropritae dressing: Prepare for the cold! Because it will come, eventually. Get shoes that’ll keep you warm in this bitter cold. Shoes like these amazing shearling-lined ankle boots by DV by Dolce Vita for example. L.O.V.E.

Most of us embrace the whole nude trend this year, but WHOA! Leighton Meester seems to be especially smitten with it. The actress was papped a few days ago arriving at the Gossip Girl set in a nude Céline shirt dress with matching nude ankle boots. To set off her neutral outfit Leighton added red Balenciaga shades and a cute vintage-y box bag, also by Céline. Casual, trendy and chic. I am starting to warm up to Leighton’s off-duty style.

Back in March everyone’s favorite Armenian American socialite aka Kim Kardashian flaunted a green romper while out and about in Miami and I must admit I was totally smitten with Kim’s utilitarian look. It was so well put together without looking overdone. The green fitted Bebe romper was an ode to the current military trend but very subdued and not over-the-top.
