I’m stumped. At a total loss for words. And for someone who loves to gab this is truly rare! Why the muteness? I can’t decide if I’m feeling this Isabel Marant pointy elf-ish looking boot or not. Did Santa’s helpers call and want their boots back? Seriously, change the colors to red & green and it’s starting to look a lot like Christmas! Hey, it may just be me though. Because this edgy lil’ boot is SOLD OUT at $925 – go figure! Nevertheless, if you desire a pair of these just scroll down to see the steals we found. Yep, thank us now or later – it’s what we do.

ALDO “Siptak” Wedge Ankle Boots

Well, we’d rather take a “sip of that“, Ms. Marant! Looks like ALDO has done a pretty good job of replicating your Amely boot with their Siptak boot. Available in black or taupe for only $130!

For those of you who like the ruched look, daniblack‘s “Amos” boot is the one for you. Again, they made their version in black and taupe. That ruching is gonna cost ya though. How much? $250 dollars much! ;-)

UPDATE: This post has been updated on May 17, 2011. Scroll down to see the new add.

Leave it to Christian Louboutin to take a simple, sweet ballerina flat and make it sexy—and subversive. There’s nothing about the Big Kiss Flat I don’t like, from the gleaming black patent, to the spiky silver studs. Well, truth be told, there are a couple tiny problems with these shoes: the typically high Louboutin price tag, and the fact that although they debuted in the Resort 2010 collection, they’re already sold out.

Gianni Bini “Vanity” Studded Flats

UPDATE (05/17/2011): Here’s another though not quite as spot-on Louboutin spiked alternative coming from Gianni Bini. Available in black or nude.

Candela Studded Punk Flats

UPDATE (06/14/2010): I also just came across these fabulous though somewhat pricey Big Kiss look-a-likes by Candela. Available in either black or white leather.

UPDATE (06/14/2010): Found one more subdued Big Kiss knockoff by daniblack.

Steve Madden “KAISAR” Studded Flats

Since Louboutin’s Big Kiss is not only pricey, but just about impossible to acquire, you can get your good girl/bad girl fill with the Steve Madden “Kaisar” studded flat. It’s not quite as spiky, but lots of gleaming studs still make this flat a stand-out.

Charles David “Rad” Studded Flats

Another option is the studded, shiny snake “Rad” Flat by Charles David. Like the Big Kiss, the “Rad” boasts high-gloss shine, and while there are less studs, the snakeskin adds oomph. Hiss…

Pour la Victoire “Juliet” Studded Flats

And here is yet another alternative: “Juliet” by Pour la Victoire. Not quite as aggressive in appearance (and probably superbly comfy) these flats could very well replace the flip-flips in your closet.

Dare To Wear – Neon Pink Shoes

by Irina on April 9, 2011

This spring we are celebrating the return of color! Well, Spring fashion is always pretty colorful, but this year I feel like designers have come to really appreciate all those beautiful vibrant colors like acid pink, lime green or cobalt blue. Especially in the footwear department. I’ve seen so many new colorful spring styles lately, it’s amazing. Neon pink seems to be one of the most used, trending colors for shoes now. Below you can see some of my top picks. Which leads me to my question: would you wear hot pink shoes? I admit it’s not for the faint of heart, but if worn with black/white/neutrals and accessorized with other neon accessories (in moderation, of course, e.g. a pink watch or matching pink lip maybe), I think it would make a really great statement look. But what do you think?
