I’ve heard tell that color is huge this spring/summer (but I mean, really, when is it not?) and everything I’ve seen in the fashion mags/internet blogs has confirmed as much. Tis the year of color, my friends, and who better to interpret that trend than Rebecca Taylor. She is the queen of whimsical, feminine silhouettes and soft, draped fabrics. Taylor’s Asymmetrical Occasion Dress is right on trend with a ruffle-trimmed one-shoulder neckline and bright & playful tangerine color. It is the perfect dress for those summer evening parties. But (and you knew this was coming) it’s fairly pricey at $325.

UPDATE (04/05/2011): Found another great Rebecca Taylor alternative in blue by Eliza J for about half the price of the original.

LuLu*s Divine Approval Dress
LuLu*s has really become one of our top go-to retail sites for designer-inspired clothing and this is why. Their Divine Approval dress is a great knockoff of the Rebecca Taylor number above. I can already tell this delectable coral color will look smashing with a tan, but for those of you who favor the cooler end of the spectrum, they also have an emerald color available. But really, for $33, why not just pick up both?

Oh how I adore, kute & kurvaceaous Kim Kardashian! I’m gonna guess that she never leaves home without her black American Express card. But I know for sure, she NEVER walks the red carpet without these three things: false eyelashes, heels and an article of clothing to hug her infamous curves! So if you have the skin tone to pull off this salmon colored body-hugger, then follow her lead. Swim upstream and check out this entire look for less!

Ever since Kristen Stewart donned this black leather bustier dress by Elizabeth & James at a promotinal event in Madrid sometime last year I always wanted and hoped to find a steal version because I really, really liked the dress; the mix of sheer and leather, the side pockets (I love things that have pockets!), pretty much everything about it was enticing for me. But $545? Like seriously? Not gonna happen.

I’ve been loving this floaty summer look by Audrina Patridge for weeeeeeeeks now. We broke down Audrina’s designer items in a previous post already and now we finally have found affordable Look 4 Less items to recreate Audrina’s outfit on a budget. Thoughts?

I’m often asked what celebrity’s style is most like mine. It’s difficult to answer because I pride myself on having my own unique style, but over time I spent a lot of time thinking about it (probably too much to admit) and always give the same answer: Olivia Palermo meets Vanessa Hudgens. So, when I saw this photo of Olivia looking garden party chic at a recent event I laughed. Why? Because her exact shoes are a purchase I made a few weeks ago. I guess 1/2 of my style response has been pretty on target – next time we see a photo of Vanessa Hudgens, I’ll test out the other half. Until then, I’m happy to see that Olivia’s feminine and sophisticated ensemble is easily attainable.
