Giuseppe Zanotti is the man broadening my horizon in terms of shoe design. Why? Because in my mind I’ve never put crystals together with the colorblocking trend until I’ve seen the fabulous Zanotti heel below and now I feel like it might be the only way to wear crystals or colorblocking on your shoes. But oh hey, have you seen that outrageous price tag of 1.300+? Well, Signore Zanotti, sorry, but that’s not my kind of shopping budget…

Steve Madden “MASQRAID” Rhinestone Slingback Pumps
Now this is more like it! The colorblocking is different here, but the “inspiration” behind these rhinestoned Steve Madden slingbacks is pretty obvious, isn’t it? Need a fun party heel for the upcoming holidays? Might as well go for Madden’s budget version. Curious to see if more color options pop up during the next days.

Colorblocking is like the thing to do this summer. I’ve written about it time and time again, constantly referring to Gucci’s S/S 2011 collection, but I’ve never actually gotten around to show a few colorblocking examples from the shoe department. So here you go. This is colorblocking à la Christian Louboutin. These tricolored slingback pumps are a fun way to spruce up a monochrome outfit and a safe way to colorblock on a small scale. Too bad I don’t have the funds to go all out on a pair of Loubies… right now.

We all know that just because a celebrity lends his/her name to a clothing/shoe line doesn’t actually mean he or she is designing it. So whoever is in charge at the Jessica Simpson footwear design apartment, can I please say that I love you? Seriously, this line has some AMAZING shoes. I happened to come across these colorblocked heels one or two weeks ago and it was love at first sight! I was immediately planning to tell you about this fantastic shoe, but by the time I have prepared the post the shoe has completely SOLD OUT! People go crazy for this heel and I can’t blame them. It doesn’t get better than this at this price level. You better hurry to get a pair because I am sure this new shipment will be gone just as fast. And if you’re not convinced by the colorful picture below, check out the moving pictures (aka shoe modeling video courtesy of Heels.com) at the end of the post. Love!

The colorblock tube dress below was one of my favorite pieces from Alexander Wang‘s Spring 2009 collection, but at one point the dress became so popular that I was sick of seeing it every second day on the red carpet. Now that the overexposure has stopped, my love returned, but unfortunately the dress has sold out since. Not that I could afford it were it still available.

All the European Alexander Wang fans rejoice! Lipsy has a great knockoff dress retailing for £65. The material is different and the colorblocking isn’t in the exact same order, but it’s still a great look 4 less alternative.

So I actually did get to go to the Gucci boutique in Atlanta and check out some of the beautiful dresses from the S/S 2011 collection in the flesh! Truly an amazing collection. I love the use of contrasting, bright colors as it definitely sets the tone on what your summer wardrobe should be… and what should your summer wardrobe be? Fun, of course! Lots of color and anything that takes the edge off from our brutal winter.
Summer is going to be all about the pool & rooftop parties, well, let’s just say any outdoor party. So, in order to stay cool and reflect yourself from the sunrays, go for these bright numbers.
Also, don’t fret! If you can’t afford the real deal or simply just don’t want to pay the designer prices, we think these Express dresses are just as stylish and cool for the summer! Don’t forget to top everything off with great accessories, too! I love this ASOS gold metallic belt, and it looks almost exactly like the Gucci belt that was featured on the runway! Don’t forget your strappy sandals, too! Topshop has you covered with these blue and pink metallic platforms! Enjoy!
