I know I already mentioned that Aquazzura is having quite the fashion moment with bloggers right now, but WOW!, I then went on to discover another one of their latest top sellers: Wild Thing, a delicate suede high heel sandal with intricate lace up tassels and a fringed vamp. Now I don’t know about you, but even though the shoe looks lovely on its own, I wasn’t too compelled at first. But then I started seeing all those gorgeous personal style bloggers donning their Wild Things on Instagram and all of a sudden I found myself completely obsessed with this shoe! I love how many of the bloggers used it to either add a pop of color or to compliment their already colorful outfit. I so wish I could lavishly spend $785 on a pair of shoes, but rent is not gonna pay by itself unfortunately.

Ivanka Trump “Hethal” Suede Fringe High Heel Sandals

Update (03/22/2017): Juicy details coming up with a new steal find! As you might know Aquazzura has filed a lawsuit againgst the Ivanka Trump brand last year for allegedly copying their highly popular “Wild Thing” design. As far as I am informed, the lawsuit hasn’t been settled yet, but I guess the folks at Ivanka Trump are either not particularly worried ooooor really pissed off at Aquazzura because Ivanka Trump released a new shoe design that looks A LOT like the “Hettie” sandal with only a few minor changes such as the metal hoop on the fringed vamp and the missing tassels on the laces which IV replaced with metal caps instead, which, coincidentally or not, are also heavily used by Aquazzura (e.g. on the “Christy” flats). Now THAT’s a bold move when you’re in the middle of a (possibly? probably!) multi-million dollar lawsuit! Really curious to see how that copycat feud is going to turn out. In the meantime, you can purchase these admittedly lovely shoes for a budget-friendly price of $90.99 (sale price!). Make sure to use promo code “LTDAYS” at checkout to get an extra 20% off regular and sale items at Lord & Taylor (offer valid through March 29th at 11:59 PM EST, some exclusions may apply). This would lower the price of these shoes down to less than $80.

Maiden Lane Fringed Ankle-Wrap Suede Sandals

Update (03/22/2017): To take some pressure off of Ivanka Trump though, she’s definitely not the only one copying Aquazzura (obviously, just look at this long list of “Wild Thing” dupes here). Maiden Lane decided to hop on the “Wild Thing” trend bandwagon as well and thus came up with an almost spot-on look-alike shoe. The only noticeable difference is the heel height which is significantly lower on the Maiden Lane version which I personally really like because it makes the shoe so much more w/bearable. I just wonder whether Maiden Lane decided to go with a lower heel because they didn’t want to anger Aquazzura too much and be the possible cause of yet another copycat lawsuit? We’ll probably never know. Anyway, these heels are available in red, taupe and black suede for $129. But hurry, some sizes are already out of stock!

Self-Portrait. How could we have possibly missed out on covering this new and super coveted brand for so long? Sorry about that, folks. But before we head into showing you our best Self-Portrait steal finds, here are a few facts about the contemporary fashion label: it was founded in 2013 by Han Chong (also former creative director of Three Floor) and quickly gained red carpet and social media buzz shortly after, landing dress gigs with celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Miranda Kerr as well as personal style bloggers like Chiara Ferragni (The Blonde Salad) and Kristina Bazan (Kayture). The signature aesthetic of the London-based brand are feminine, romantic dresses and separates with lots of lace, embroidery and sheer overlays which have a surprisingly appealing price point: Dresses typically fall in the $500-$600 price range. And while I honestly applaud Han Chong for wanting to create a mid-priced fashion label with lots of attention to detail, $480 is still a lot of money for a lot of people (even though I’ll admit the “Azaelea” dress, which by the way got silently renamed correctly to “Azalea” in the meantime, thus probably referring to the flower, pictured below looks like it’s worth every penny of it). Keep on reading to find various stylish Self-Portrait dress alternatives for much less.

LuLu*s Pinnacle of Prestige Lace Midi Dress

If you can’t afford spending half a grand on a flirty summer dress, here’s our best steal find (yet!) which I discovered at LuLu*s some time ago. And I would’ve showed you this lovely $64 lace midi dress some time ago already, but it kept selling out so fast – restock after restock – that I didn’t even have enough time to finish up this blog post before this dress was completely sold out again, so I patiently waited until it got restocked for what feels like the tenth time now and for the first time it didn’t sell out in the first 60 minutes. Yay! However, this dress is obviously still wildly popular, so I wouldn’t wait too long with buying. Who knows if it’ll be restocked for an eleventh time?

Persun Flower Embellished Cami Dress

And of course, where there’s a trend Asian copycats can’t be too far away. The design of the Persun midi lace dress is very close to the real deal (including the colors), but I can’t tell for sure whether the quality is worth paying $37.99 for.

Free People South Of The Equator Midi Dress

OK, now this Self-Portrait steal find kind of irritates me. Don’t get me wrong: I love Free People and I looooove designer dupes. But what I don’t understand is how you can blatantly copy a $480 dress and then sell your own copied version for a whopping $300 (now on sale for $69.95), thus making both dresses compete in the same price range? Now that’s a little shameless, isn’t it? Even for blatant copycats. Anyway, I still wanted to include this dress option because it does look a lot like the real deal and it is in fact still $180 $380 cheaper than the original, so if you’re OK with paying that much money for a copycat design, feel free to do so.

Before you start wondering whether these oversized bow sandals somehow look familiar: yes, they are obviously inspired by the highly popular Aminah Abdul Jillil Bow Pumps which we have featured in the past except these here are open-toed which I personally find equally charming. The rest is pretty much spot-on identical; including design, color and material. And while $130 for such a beautiful shoe is not what I’d call exactly expensive, we did manage to find an even more budget-friendly alternative which looks just like the Betsey Johnson version but is $90 cheaper. The only noticeable difference is that the heel on the Betseyvilles is straight while the Betsey Johnsons have more of a flared heel. Anyway, which bow sandal would you choose and why? Cheap or cheaper? Let us know in the comments.

So, lace-up flats. You probably won’t get around them this summer. First, we started with Aquazzura’s pointy “Christy” flats and today we present you yet another gorgeously delicate example: “Leo” by Isabel Marant, an eyelet-embellished ballet flat with intricate lace-up design and scalloped edges for a soft and feminine look. It seems like high heels may have to take a summer vacation this summer because the fashion blogosphere has gone cuckoo for sophisticated flats this season.

We do see a whole lot of lace-up bodysuits or tops in stores nowadays, but back in 2015 Givenchy were among the first designers to rediscover this super sexy trend in their badass Fall/Winter collection 2015. Shortly after the collection debut, mega socialite Kim Kardashian wore the runway look head-to-toe, going braless in this deep plunging v-neck bodysuit and – if I might add – absolutely killing it while doing so! Sure, the outfit was risqué, revealing and overtly sexual, but Kim had the poise and attitude to pull it off. The lace-up bodysuit then continued to garner further fame and attraction as more celebrities and fashion insiders have been seen wearing this super sexy, bondage-inspired $2.600 Givenchy number. Yes, you read that right: this bodysuit costs $2.600!

Celebrities & Style Bloggers Love Givenchy

Celebs such as Miranda Kerr and Kim Kardashian as well as style blogger Negin Mirsalehi have been spotted wearing a Givenchy V-Seamed Lace-Up Bodysuit.

Nasty Gal Bad to the Bone Lace-Up Bodysuit

If you want to try the lace-up bodysuit trend without having to go bankrupt, I suggest you take a long good look at this Givenchy inspired number by Nasty Gal. It’s super close to the real deal, but costs a fraction of the designer price: $78 instead of $2.600! This one’s my personal dupe favorite!

Bardot “Tavia” Lace-up Bodysuit

Another fab steal deal option is this lace-up bodysuit by Bardot. Like the Nasty Gal version, this one, too, is very similar to the pricey Givenchy bodysuit. It’s currently on sale for $51, but you have to hurry as it’s pretty much sold out everywhere.
