Calvin Klein

It’s been ages since we last showed you a “Shoe of the Day” here on this blog and we thought it was time to revive that feature. That’s why today I present to you: “Andrina” by Calvin Klein, a classic yet playful, almost architectural black ankle boot with a gold rounded heel and a gold oversized buckle at the ankle. “Andrina” is an absolute design classic and will get you a ton of mileage due to its timeless elegance while the gold accents and the intricate placing of the heel will avoid looking it is yet another boring black boot and make any outfit with these boots an instant eyecatcher! $245 isn’t a steal, I hear you, but when I originally first saw the boot, I didn’t look at the price tag right away and immediately assumed this had to be a $700+ designer shoe because of the superb craftmanship and all the clever little details. That’s why I was extra pleased to learn that this is a boot that costs less than $250! So if you’re still on the hunt for the perfect black standout boot that’ll still go with all of your outfits, why not take this one into closer consideration?

Update: This post has been updated on January 19, 2013. Scroll down to see the new add.

Despite the respect and admiration I have for the creativity of Monsieur Christian Louboutin; if I had to buy a pair of Louboutins with my current sad little shoe budget I’d choose a very classic style to ensure I’ll get maximum bang for my buck. I’ve always loved the shape of the “Bianca” – a high platform stiletto pump, so it’s very likely I’d go for this style because it looks like one of my personified shoe dreams.

bebe “Jacob” Slingback Pumps

As long as I still have to save up for the real deal, I might as well get something nice for the time in between. bebe.’s “Jacob” slingback pump looks like very much like Bianca’s little sister, but costs way less than her big sister. I love how Bebe put Loubie’s signature red sole on the outside of the heel. Looks good this way, too, huh? Available in black/red or navy/black patent.

Winter is still upon us, but I’m already looking at Spring 2011 footwear. Flirty wedges, colorful pumps and sexy sandals like these by Calvin Klein are what I’m putting on my shoe shopping list this spring. I adore the sexy bondage-like straps on these heels and I’m enamored with both the black reptile version as well as the natural python print one. Do you have a personal favorite?
