So isn’t it quite obvious why I chose these DV by Dolce Vita patent-leather platform pumps as today’s Heel of the Day? Because they look so darn good! And because they remind me of Brian Atwood’s super coveted “Maniac” pump and the pink patent version with the gold bow on the vamp gives off an Alexander McQueen vibe. Luichiny “Rest Up” Bow Platform Sandals

Luichiny seals the deal for me. Just look, the difference is barely discernible unless you are a guru at spotting the “imitation” shoe. The color is just as vibrant, the bow is slightly smaller, and the ankle strap seems to be in place. The most important factor is that the grand heel is still a focal point, which I absolutely adore. Available in red, pink, black, and cream faux suede, there is a variety of colors to choose from.

Real vs. Steal – Isabel Marant Poppy Suede Pumps

Kitten heels and pointed toes are usually NOT what turns me on about a shoe, but strange enough I think it totally works on these red suede kitten pumps by Isabel Marant. Maybe it’s the lavishly tied bow or the red suede or maybe that they look so French. But I do like these. A lot. Others, including a flood of Hollywood celebs, seem to favor these heels as well since the Poppy pumps have sold out rather quickly online. I especially like how Hilary Duff wore these with a grey tank and rolled up skinny jeans.
