Black

I think we can all agree that a black leather jacket is an absolute wardrobe staple and should be owned by every man and woman. I also think we can all agree on the fact that Acne Studios happens to make some of the best leather jackets everrrrrrr! (Velocite aviator jacket, anyone?) – Unfortunately, Acne leather jackets (also leather jackets in general) come at a price; in this particular case at $1.650 which is obviously a lot of money, even for a really cool leather jacket. But fret not, my dear fashionistas on a budget! Just keep on scrolling to discover how to get the uber-cool Acne moto look for a whole lot less.

Mango Carla2 Zipped Biker Jacket

While browsing through Mango‘s new arrivals recently, I happened to stumble upon this Acne Mock inspired moto leather jacket which retails for under $100 and comes in either black or white. It’s also made of faux PU leather, so this jacket is both budget- and animal-friendly! Love! If you’re really after a genuine leather Acne jacket dupe however, check out this option for $199.99 (available in black, red and brown).

So I first fell in love with these gorgeous satin mules by No. 21 while writing up a Real vs. Steal post on the Mua Mua Instagram Bag last September. And it seems like a lot of you were equally in love with these beauties as I have received several reader requests to feature a budget-friendly alternative, one of them coming from Stephanie:

I have been looking for a dupe for the N°21 satin high heel mule. Please post a duplicate if you find any.

Thanks S.P.G.

Your wish is my command, Stephanie. I couldn’t find a perfect dupe yet, but I am positively sure some of the usual suspects will catch onto this shoe trend and give us a budget-friendly alternative for under $150 soon. Pretty, please?

ASOS “Havoc” High Heeled Mules

Update (02/07/2017): Spotted these cute pink bow satin mules at ASOS in the new arrivals section today and they instantly reminded me of the No. 21 version above. Not an identical dupe and unfortunately not available in green satin, but still quite close to the real deal. Price: $53 and the “Havoc” is also available in gold.

French Connection “Kasen” Suede Mules

Et voilà, here’s a suede No. 21 Ronny alternative I discovered at French Connection. The folding on these suede mules isn’t quite as bold and extreme as on the designer originals, but the overall look still reminds me of the No. 21 Ronnys above. Such a bummer they don’t come in a satin version though!

I feel like lately ankle boots have become the new high heels. Heeled booties? Yes, please! But favorably with a block heel, so the boots stay wearable and the heel height stays manageable. We know by now that French fashion house, Céline, can get away with pretty much anything and everything and still easily maintain that understated coolness vibe. Case in point: their latest “It“-shoe of the moment, the Rodeo High Ankle Boot; a very loooong and very pointy Western-style ankle boot with a wooden block heel and heavy, brass-colored studs along the sole. At first, I wasn’t much of a fan of the boot when I saw it on its own, but once the blogger and street style outfits started rolling in featuring these Cowboy-style infused booties, I was instantly won over: these boots have some serious iconic shoe potential. And if you can afford them, by all means, invest in them! If you can’t, however, just keep on reading to find more budget-conscious options that will give you a similar Céline Rodeo boot look.

Office “Levi” Studded Western Boots

I love Office‘s shoes! There I said it. I own several pairs of Office shoes and love them all to death! The quality is pretty decent, the prices are fair and the collections are all very up-to-date and with a lot of designer inspired, budget-friendly options in between. “Levi” is quite obviously inspired by Céline’s Rodeo boots without being a blatant knock-off, plus it’s quite affordable at £98. And it’s also available in a non-studded version if studs aren’t exactly your thing.

Two more weeks until Valentine’s Day and while I’m not particularly excited about V-Day itself (all the single ladies!), I do like any opportunity that allows me to dress up and act all flirty about it. When dressing up, my personal motto is: “Drama, drama, drama!”, that’s why this black off-the-shoulder midi dress by Bardot with its body-con silhouette and the dramatic bell sleeves instantly caught my attention. I immediately started styling this LBD in my head and style-wise it felt like my mind ran in 100 different directions. There are a lot of ways to style this versatile dress and I decided to pick three for you to show: bold, romantic and just plain cute. So if you need some outfit inspiration for your own Valentine’s Day attire, feel free to check out my V-Day look suggestions and let me know whether you like them or not.

Before you start wondering whether these oversized bow sandals somehow look familiar: yes, they are obviously inspired by the highly popular Aminah Abdul Jillil Bow Pumps which we have featured in the past except these here are open-toed which I personally find equally charming. The rest is pretty much spot-on identical; including design, color and material. And while $130 for such a beautiful shoe is not what I’d call exactly expensive, we did manage to find an even more budget-friendly alternative which looks just like the Betsey Johnson version but is $90 cheaper. The only noticeable difference is that the heel on the Betseyvilles is straight while the Betsey Johnsons have more of a flared heel. Anyway, which bow sandal would you choose and why? Cheap or cheaper? Let us know in the comments.
