And this amazing wedge by Signore Giuseppe Zanotti is making me want to buy it dinner. Well, maybe just a salad because this lil’ glittering baby is 455 Euros! I’m sorry, but my money is in dollars; which means this is about $615! Waiter, check please… I’ll need to check for a cheaper copy! ;-)

UPDATE (02/18/2012): Just stumbled upon these gitter wedges by Pleaser. If you compare these to the bebe “Omega” ones, you will see they are dead-on identical, so I guess the Pleaser version is just a rebrand of the bebe shoes with a nicer price point.

Last week we showed you the gorgeous turquoise suede version of Christian Louboutin‘s “Super Domblasle” cork platforms and today we’re highlighting the quite as lustworthy shiny patent version. I’m still torn on the extreme platform, but all in all I do love the design. The price? Not so much.

Nine West “Troischic” Wedge Sandals

UPDATE (02/15/2012): Came across another great and affordable Louboutin alternative. These wedges by Nine West do have a few differences, but overall they still share the same style. While I like the black version I’m even more in love with the brighter options like orange and yellow.

Bebe “Leah” Cork Wedge Sandals

Even though Bebe is known for their sky-high heels, in the case of copying the “Super Dombasle” they weren’t quite brave enough to go all the way and copy the 3 inch platform as well. Instead they reduced it by 50% and put a silly flower on the ankle strap; probably to distract from the fact that otherwise it’s pretty much an identical twin of the CL version. But yes, the flower is detachable. Thank God!

I am absolutely obsessed with these patent leather Christian Louboutin platform pumps. They are so gorgeous! I love everything about them – the shiny patent leather, the pitch black color, the mega high platform and the resulting height enhancement. PERFECTION! I sure am not the only one who fell for these lustworthy pumps as these heels sold like hot cakes when they hit the shelves a few months ago.

If you are willing to spend some cash to get a similar style, these patent platform pumps by Joan & David are a great alternative if you can’t afford the real deal. BCBGeneration “Tinas” Platform Pumps

If your shopping budget does not allow for a pricey shoe splurge, you might want to try these Louboutin inspired platform pumps by BCBGeneration instead. They cost $60 only which makes them 2/3 cheaper than the above mentioned knockoff and you’ll save more than $700 compared to the real Louboutin pumps. It’s not a perfect match and the platform is even more watered down than on the first pair, but overall they are still a great option if you are lusting for the Louboutin look 4 less.

Dress of the Day – bebe Lara Nautical Stripe Midi Dress

I might have mentioned once or twice how much of a sucker I am for all things striped and nautical inspired? And this dress by bebe is luckily both. So yeah, consider me obsessed. Sure, you’d have to rock your highest heels to balance out the midi-length of the dress and make it work for you and not against you, but the extra effort will pay off as you will look infinitely stylish and feel like a Grande Dame headed for her next Caribbean cruise.

The Gucci Huston Mary Jane Plaform Suede Pumps are a fusion of the classic Mary Jane silhouette with a 1970s take, significant both to modern elegance and the disco fashion. The soaring heel draws attention as it contradicts with the mellowness and sweetness of a Mary Jane styled shoe. As these pumps come in several hues, I have to say that every color is uniquely presented bringing a sense of disco-like glamour to the table. I admire the the plum purple hue with the deep gold piping as it is sophisticated yet retro-chic. These pumps are essentially iconic and representative of 1970s trends which are resurfacing into the modern fashion world.

bebe “Nadia” Metallic Trim Velvet Sandals

The bebe Nadia Metallic Trim Velvet Sandal has a luxurious appeal by which it features a staggering platform heel and metallic toned velvet and piping. These sandals resemble the Gucci heels above, and really bring on the nostalgic Hollywood glamour guise that we all crave.
