Ankle Cuff

I’m not sure which woman wouldn’t want jewels around her ankles? And I’m sure you can clearly see why these Giuseppe Zanotti high heel sandals are sold out! I love the nude color straps and the decent heel height, but I’m not sold on the price! At $1.095 and sold out I think we can do better!

BCBGeneration “Pashas” High-Heel Sandals

I love the crystals on these BCBGeneration sandals! I’m not too fond of the not-so-sleek heel, but I’ll get over that! Definitely love the price though: only $98! Available in nude, black, pewter and gold.

Camilla Skovgaard has become quite the shooting star in my top list of favorite shoe designers. She’s just freaklingly talented and I find myself being in love with almost every single pair of her shoes. Let me give you an example: When she first brought out a collection where most of the styles had a jagged sole (something that has become somewhat of a trademark of Skovgaard now), I was not exactly pleased. I didn’t like it, it looked too utilirian, too contradictory. However, now I’m LOVING them. I don’t know why my mind changed overnight, but it did and Ms. Skovgaard is the one to blame.

Look who was impressed by Skovgaard as well? Paris Hilton‘s version of the designer heels isn’t spot-on, but there are still a bunch of similarities between both. I wish they’d come with the jagged sole, but you can’t have it all with knockoffs. Available in nude, black and pewter.

I love a delicate shoe with a rocker edge. It sort of epitomizes my favorite style – soft and hard. I think L.A.M.B. must have designed their “Ricki” ankle cuff sandal with me in mind. I love the wide but delicate straps across the toes and bridge, and then that ankle cuff with grommets! These would look divine paired with a full mini skirt or flouncy, girly dress. Happily, these are on sale for $195 (original retail price of $355!), but only very limited sizes are available.

Liliana “Porter” Ankle Strap Sandals

If an almost $200 price tag is still a little hard to swallow, or if your size is just simply not available, take a look at these “Porter” ankle strap sandals by Liliana. For a mere $31, these aren’t real leather, but they have that awesome cuff and high heel. They also come in a plethora of colors: black, pewter, fuchsia, white and red.

I am what you might call “shoe loyal” and I’m happy to say that it generally pays off. I have been smitten with the “sandal bootie” for over a year now and have stuck by that style despite various shrieks of disgust by friends, family and fashionistas alike. But a-ha, they always come around and now that everyone’s all about the “sandal bootie”, I can smugly say I was a fan from the beginning. We featured these Cesare Paciotti “613310″ sandal booties on Zoe Saldana shortly and I think a lot of us were big fans. They basically make any outfit a little more badass. Even the blush tone feels rocker-ish; but I love how the ruffle trim gives them a lady-like touch. We’re not sure how much these sandal booties will run you but we’re pretty sure it’s a pretty penny (maybe we should amend that to say a pretty Benjamin Franklin?).

Bebe Mara Ankle Cinch Sandals

Bebe‘s really been leading the knockoff pack lately, haven’t they? Their “Mara Ankle Cinch Sandals” may not be an exact copy of the Cesare Paciotti shoes but they’re pretty darn lovely nevertheless. Bebe used a paper-bag style trim instead of a ruffle but I think you’ll agree that once on the effect is virtually the same. The nude is undoubtedly sweet but I am loving the black. Pair with a black dress (either mini or knee-length, as seen above) and strut your stuff out into the night.

Killing me softly with their song, killing me softly… What? Huh? Oh. Sorry, I was having a moment. I could swear I heard the siren song of the Gucci S/S 2010 collection calling my name. And in that same hypnotic moment, I envisioned walking into my closet and seeing Daryl, and Gail, and all my favorite Gucci friends. Sigh.

Bebe Shana Leather Cuffed Platform Sandals

You know what I’m going to write, right? That I’d totally be rocking the Gucci Gail this very moment if only they weren’t $795. But as such, they are relegated to my footwear fantasies. So again, we turn to Bebe, which has become quite the reliable source for designer-inspired shoes. The Shana Leather Cuffed Platform Sandals vary slightly compared to Gucci’s Gail, but they still have the same impact. Not for the weak at heart, no they aren’t. So should you decide to throw caution to the wind and strut these 5.75-inchers, at least the price tag won’t give you heart palpitations. Available in black & white.
