Real vs. Steal – Giuseppe Zanotti I07014 Ruched Platform Booties

Lady Gaga, Lady Gaga, Lady Gaga. I’m sorry, but that’s the first thing that comes to mind when I look at these Giuseppe Zanotti boots. You? Yes, no… not so much? Well, put it this way: these aren’t for everybody. For one thing, the heel height, I’m gonna guess, is about 6-7 inches! At 5’10″ I will be passing on these. Not that it matters, these height-be-damned booties are $1.250 and oh yeah fashionable monsters – SOLD OUT!

Enzo Angiolini “Filia” Zip Ankle Boots

Hello Enzo Angiolini! I’m really feeling these “Filia” ankle boots that mirror (in a reverse funhouse kinda way) the Zanotti boots. The heel height is definitely about 3-4 inches shorter. Constructed in suede and not what I’m sure is butter-like leather. Consolation prize? Available in grey & black for only $149! I don’t know about you, but this makes me wanna… just dance! ;-)

Heel of the Day – Creative Recreation Sirocco Platform Sandals

This is it. I’m officially back to black. Le sigh! All it took me to get hooked on black heels again was this fine beauty by Creative Recreation. You all know how much I love a perfectly shaped arch and well, this one is pretty much a 10 out of 10 in my book. The buckled ankle strap, peep-toe, platform and 5 inch heel are a nice bonus though!

Heel of the Day – Dolce Vita Jemma Suede Platform Ankle Boots

I’m not ready to let summer go just yet, but all the fall collections are slowly starting to hit the online stores and it’s hard – so very hard – not to get lured in by the freshness of fall fashion. Today, for the first time in months, I found myself getting excited about a boot again. Of course it couldn’t be just any boot. You know me. I like my shoes loud. And don’t these platformed booties by Dolce Vita just scream at you? Well, at least they do scream at me. “Buy me!” they are whispering in my ear, “Buy me!“, – a siren song that’s hard to ignore. Red ankle boots – I don’t own any yet, so I just might have to cave in.

Who doesn’t love a Choo shoe? I know no woman alive who’d deny herself the pleasure if her finances could enable the experience. If only. Since most of us can’t fill our closets with boxes by Jimmy Choo (and because the Fire Cut-Out Ankle Boots are sold out anyway) here’s a nice consolation prize: the “Aphrodite” by Vince Camuto. They aren’t 100% like the Choo version, but still a shapely and sexy pair. Available in black, nude and natural… and I’m loving the natural for all those military looks planned for spring.

Office “BASK IN GLORY” Cut-Out Booties

Also worthy of consideration are the “BASK IN GLORY” Cut-Out Booties by Office. Love this shoe for its Choo-like similarities (the buckle detail and opening at the ankle), and also for its daring differences (woven detail and trim). It’s also available in a delectable dark taupe that really showcases the lovely detail on these booties—you must click over to Office to see the 360-degree view. I’d even go so far as to say that I like the dark taupe better than the Choo booties. Now that speaks volumes, doesn’t it?
