I know summer is almost over when I find myself starting to look for shoes to wear in the fall. These studded ankle booties called “Otway” by Isabel Marant have been on my wish list for months now, but as with most of the things on my wish list, they are way out of my budget let alone the fact that they aren’t even out yet.

UPDATE (10/05/2009): Look at this knockoff version by Rosegold and try to spot the difference between this one and the Isabel Marant boots. These booties are as close as you can get to the original.However, a knockoff this great comes at a price: $285. Yup, that’s pretty expensive, but probably still at least a few hundred dollars cheaper than the original. If you have the cash, why not spend it on these awesome knockoffs?

I’ve been really loving Prada shoes as of late. Their footwear range for Spring and Fall 2009 was truly exceptional and just when I was starting to understand the appeal of Prada I was beyond disappointed to see lucite shoes return from fashion hell onto Prada’s Spring 2010 runway. Damn you, Miuccia Prada! I’m on a fashion rollercoaster with your fashion house. I do appreciate these studded t-strap sandals however also known as Ashley Olsen‘s studded obsession.

I’m not sure why they call these boots 50/50, when they’re 100% awesome, but I’ll take them! Stuart Weitzman has been a household name in evening shoes for a very long time. Many people don’t know that the collection features far more than glitz and glamour for the feet. There’s everyday booties, bags and wedges to name a few. In my fashionable opinion, each year the shoes get better and better looking, but the amazing comfort stays the same. So it’s no surprise that many of Hollywood’s leading ladies are consistently seen in Stuart Weitzman shoes on and off the red carpet. Christian Louboutin‘s “Bibi” pump is one of my favorite Loubies from the classic shoe styles department. I looooove the high arch and also that it has this straight column-like chunky heel; I just dig that on shoes, not sure why, but I love this (plus, it makes a high heel that much more stable/comfortable because the weight doesn’t pressure on a pinpoint-sized stiletto heel). That makes yet another addition to my never ending list of shoe obsessions.

Rough Justice is a pretty new footwear brand and for their first collection they have decided to take some inspiration from the master of the red soled heels because these “Kara” platforms are obvious “Bibi” wannabes. Tood bad they’ve messed up the arch, otherwise it would’ve been a super great Louboutin alternative (though a pretty steep one at $200+). Real vs. Steal – Brian Atwood Maniac Hidden Platform Pumps

I usually don’t like publishing 2 consequent posts about the same brand, but in the case of Brian Atwood I think I can make an exception. His rise to fame started somewhen last year with the “Maniac” platform pump which was one of the first 5″ heels to conquer the red carpet & every female celebrity’s heart. Nude pumps were starting to make the round back then and Brian Atwood’s version was especially appealing with its hidden platform, the high arch and delicious taupe color. Despite their hefty price tag of almost $600, it didn’t take long until these were completely sold out.

Steve Madden “RUSSHH” Platform Pumps

Ever since I discovered Brian Atwood’s Maniac pumps I was hoping and waiting for a good copy to come along. Surprisingly, it took longer than expected, but we finally have a Maniac doppelgänger courtesy of Steve Madden. Madden’s version isn’t quite as high and the color is not a perfect match, but at that price I’m not complaining.
