UPDATE: This post has been updated on February 22, 2010. Scroll down to see the new add.
What’s the equivalent of fishnets for the feet? Miu Miu’s Forma Cutout Sandals. Diagonal weave? Check. Skin peeking through? Check. A little coverage and a little tease? Check and check. Seriously, could they be sexier? I think not. And not many sandals can work with date-night dresses and formal gowns.

Heel of the Day – ALDO McKale Criss Cross Sandals
Running this blog involves spending a lot of time shoe browsing which is something I thoroughly LOVE to do since my heart is that of a true shoe addict. And since I see hundreds of new shoes daily with a few of them being delicately beautiful and exceptionally amazing I thought it’d be a waste if I don’t share my precious little finds with you, our readers. So, from today on you’ll find this new daily feature showcasing the best shoes you’ll ever find online. I promise I’ll try my best to stay under $150.
And we start with a BANG! I’m like a moth to the flame when it comes to colorful shoes. I know many people are hesitant to buy shoes in bright, loud colors and deem them impractical since they don’t match with everything like your standard black, beige and brown, but I’ll choose a yellow pump over a boring black shoe ANYTIME! And these strappy ALDO sandals are as gorgeous as it can get. The shape looks very Dior-esque and I just love the exotic snakeskin texture and the subtle platform. But those colors are where it’s really at! They’re the best thing about these heels. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Now if you please excuse me – I’m off to order a pair in each color.

Real vs. Steal – Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Buckle Boots
UPDATE: This post has been updated on February 11, 2010. Scroll down to see the new add.
After running this blog for more than 6 months, I don’t get as excited as I used to when spotting a new knockoff. Today, however, was one of these rare days. A few months back when it was announced that Chloë Sevigny would design a second collection for Opening Ceremony (Fall/Winter 2009), I spotted a pair of to-die-for black buckle boots on Chloë’s feet and I instantly fell in love.

It was one of these shoe obsessions where I was even willing to take the plunge and go for the real deal, but my enthusiasm came to an abrupt end when I learned that a) the buckle boots wouldn’t be available until late August/September and b) were priced at $625 which is twice the price I expected/hoped them to be.

I tried to find reasonably priced knockoffs for weeks, but never found anything noteworthy. Until today when I accidentally stumbled upon these buckled boots by Jeffrey Campbell. Just look at them, they look almost the same except the original O.C. boots have those additional buckle caps which is a minor bummer, but otherwise they are identical and cost only 1/6 of the originals’ price. Big YAY!

Real vs. Steal – Christian Louboutin Bianca Platform Pumps
UPDATE: This post has been updated on January 21, 2010. Scroll down to see the new add.
I am so obsessed with these merlot patent Christian Louboutin platform pumps. They are so gorgeous! I love everything about them – the shiny patent leather, the vibrant burgundy color, the mega high platform and the resulting height enhancement. PERFECTION! I sure wasn’t the only one falling for these lustworthy pumps as these heels sold out like nothing when they hit the shelves a few months ago.

Joan & David “Flipp” Platform Pumps
If you are willing to spend some cash to get a similar style, these burgundy platform pumps by Joan & David are a great alternative if you can’t afford the real deal. If your shopping budget does not allow for a $200 shoe splurge, you might want to try these Louboutin inspired platform pumps by BCBGeneration instead. They cost just under $90 making them more than 50% cheaper than the above mentioned knockoff and you’ll save more than $600 compared to the real Louboutin pumps. The color is not a 100% match and the platform is even more watered down than on the first pair, but overall they are still a great option if you are lusting for Louboutins on a budget. Also available in black.

Balmain is all the rage right now. It gets worn a lot these days. Their Spring 2009 collection was such a success! One of the most wanted items from that collection were the studded embellished stiletto sandals. They scream BADASS! After hitting the shelves of NET-A-PORTER (priced at breath-taking $2.300) the heels completely sold out within a day or two. If you can afford the real thing, I highly recommend you invest in them. If they are way out of your budget, no need to panic! I have found a bunch of good and affordable Balmain alternatives for you.

Real vs. Steal – Givenchy Studded T-Strap Sandals
I clearly overuse the word “obsessed” in conjunction with shoes, but OMG! I am so OBSESSED with these spikey studded Givenchy zip sandals. Looking like they’ve been hewn out of obsidian these heels are serious business and can also work as weapons if the situation calls for it. Perfect for the fashionable woman who loves a shiny shoe extraordinaire. One who can handle the price AND the attention she’d draw with these punky hedgehogs on.

Christine Centenera Loves Givenchy
Christine Centenera is a fashion editor for Harper’s Bazaar Australia and also a stylist. She has gained quite a bit of momentum lately and been the subject of many fashion and streetstyle blog mentions. As far as my research goes Christine was the only to make a public outing in those Givenchy heels. Love them on her! She looks so dominant yet so sensual. Must be the contrast between the light blue combined with all the spiked studs.

ZiGiny “Norah” Studded Sandals
If you’re ready to punk up your wardrobe with studded heels à la Christine, but don’t have the budget or vitamin b to afford the real deal, check out these mad Givenchy inspired sandals by ZiGiny. Wearing these will take your style game to the next level and get all people staring at your feet, so you better have a pedi before putting these on. I think it goes without saying that owning an authentic Chanel bag is something each and every girl is dreaming of. ALDO Bargen Quilted Handbag
Until you have enough pocket change for the real deal, you might want to settle for a less pricier version first. This quilted flap bag by Aldo certainly meets the criteria. Now don’t expect the same delicate quality of a real Chanel because there is simply no competition. But if you want an affordable alternative this bag is probably your best bet. It does have silver hardware instead of gold and it doesn’t have the cute CC clasp (which the original 2.55 bag however didn’t have as well), but everything else is quite identical.

Alexander McQueen is one of my favorite designers of all time and I frequently find myself falling in love with almost everything he designs. Steve Madden “SERYNA” Peep-toe Ankle Boots
I love and hate Steve Madden. Hate because his collection is mostly based on other people’s creativity and LOVE because it makes being fashionable on a budget SO much easier without having to compromise the designer look of a shoe.
These Alexander McQueen knockoffs are almost identical, the only thing that’s different is that the zipper isn’t a skull shape, but everything else could pass as the original. The ankle boots are currently on pre-order and will be ready to ship in approx. 4 weeks. However I wouldn’t wait too long to order as this style is probably one of the first to sell out.

In Eva Longoria’s Closet – Jones New York Lotus Pink Silk Sheath Dress
What I love about Eva Longoria is that she’s not one to shy away from color. Also because she can make a simple $150 frock look absolutely luxe. Yes, believe it, this hot pink sheath dress costs less than $150! Eva mastered the uptown chic to perfection and usually sticks with trusted red carpet designers for public events, that’s why I never expected her to wear such accesible fashion. Can’t say I don’t love it though!
